I don't think they are discriminated against much today. It seems that the government, corporations and parts of society promote and celebrate them while pushing their agenda down our throats.

You are right in that they should not be treated poorly or discriminated against. You are also right that not all of them are this way but the statistics tell the whole story from their number of sexual encounters, high prevalence of disease and suicide along with a number of other health issues...
