Great documentary about Tyson and Teddy Atlas early on in both of their careers from the start of their relationship till the end, when Teddy ended up putting a gun next to Tyson's head and threatened to kill him. Some cool stories and footage that I hadn't heard about or seen of Tyson before...
Hello all.
Longtime Sherdog poster here. I work in the ski industry and have started making a few videos around my shop in my spare time. I made one that I think might help some people out if they are recreational skiers, especially those with a family in tow.
I'd say at least half of skiers...
Yes. Slamming your opponent to the ground with unnecessary force is an infraction. I'm pretty sure its up to the refs discretion to warn/take a point/potentially end a match based on the severity.
US Wrestling (freestyle) team is looking pretty strong right now in my opinion. I think Cox, Snyder and JB are all probably going to be favored to win their weight class. Dake might be too depending on what happens with the wrestle-off. Taylor would have been if not for the injury. Plus with all...
I think people rate him incorrectly. He's one of the all time greats, I don't think anyone can argue with that. He was one who transcended between the old and the new era, and was dangerous to anyone that he fought at LHW or HW. He blended greco wrestling with boxing as well as anyone and...
There we go. Highlight of all of Dake and Burroughs matches together. Goddammit they are both so good. I feel bad for Dake that he has to be around during the Burroughs era.
I don't think so. I've heard him say in interviews that he wants to compete for the US in 5 Olympic games, so that would keep him tied up until he was like 41. Its too bad, because he would be an absolute beast. He'd be like prime Fedor or sea level Cain, maybe even more explosive and better. Oh...
Thanks bud! That shit was so awesome. Wish I could find it, used to get me hyped.
Anyways, I kind of get obsessive with things so I ended up making a few more of these highlights of Kyle Snyder chronicling his junior amateur career from high school, to junior nationals/world team trials/junior...
Yup. The Frank Shamrock one was great. Pancrase looked crazy as fuck to me back then. Frank Shamrock making that insane face at Bas as he open palm stuck him over and over... I used to show that shit to everyone.
For anyone who has been at Sherdog for a long time, they might remember the old Igor Vovchanchyn Sherdog HL that came out around the early 2000s to "Republica - Ready to Go". Igor was such a powerful motherfucker and that highlight was one of the things that got me into MMA. For whatever reason...
Not sure if this thread should go here since this is a grappling technique forum, but there is no exact wrestling discussion forum, so if mods want to move it please do.
After watching Burroughs win at Final X in a hardfought series against Martinez, I've fallen into another youtube rabbit hole...
It does sometimes seem as if Yianni's plan is to give up the deepest shot you've ever seen and the kind of "figure it out" from there. The kid is a beast. As a fellow New Yorker I have an extra affinity for him.
I was surprised at how well Cox was able to handle Bo. My takeaway from this event...
I would disagree. I think companies like FloWrestling are doing a great job of making amateur wrestling exciting again. I just wish they would not put the most anticipated matches behind a paywall.
US wrestling is exciting as hell right now, from the NCAAs to the international scene.
Guys...
Gwiz beats Steveson
Gwiz takes out Steveson in 2 extremely close matches. Steveson needs to learn to wrestle till the end... it seems all his major losses this year have come near the end of the final period. Again, he's another one who is super young and looks to have a hugely bright...
