Lewis in Pride back in the day without testing would have looked like Randleman. Cain would have cut his rehab time in half. CC was also 33 when he got his head kicked off by Gonzaga, not exactly an old man. Pride was a different animal altogether, let's not pretend the fighters were on equal...
I mean the guy just defected from Cuba and started training mma what, three years ago? That's why he's on the show, to get more experience and round out his game. I really don't think 34 is too old though for hw though, Cormier had his first fight at the same age and had about the same boxing...
Agreed. The stories are out there about his financial issues during his first big layoff when he broke his hand/wrist. Really shitty position to be put in when you can't fight and now you can't fall back on your other trade. Kind of makes you wonder what would happen if fighters had better...
I hate the arguement that Punk having fought somehow makes Paul getting a contract alright. Neither should ever step foot in a cage. That being said being when comparing the two at least Punk was somewhat of a professional athlete. His body had con through the riggers of taking a beating, he had...
Honestly he looked like a guy that took a fight on very short notice in another country. I've never saw the guy fight befor, that said saying he "stole his soul" seems pretty idiotic in this case.
Yeah I just looked at Tapology, sherdog is missing his last fights and only has him having one fight win since 2014. Still not giving him a pass for the Wessel fight though, Diekmann doesn't train full time either and is pushing forty yet handle him easily. Silva should have been a lot more...
Frazier has one fight in the past four years and was ko'ed by fricken Mike Wessel. How was Silva the first pick? Did actually do any wrestling during the evaluations?
Most people don't know these guys but some have decent pedigrees. Braddock Silva with kickboxing, Bautista wrestling for Cuba (has a win over Cormier), Dieppa with his grappling. The ladies.......not so much. For whatever reason the passed over the vets for these fighters with 4-6 fights to...
So was Hardy though, the guy he fought transferred from football and only had two fights.
Silva is a very accomblished kickboxer. Batista is a super accomplished wrestler who's won gold medals at Pan Am and such, even has a win over Cormier. I wouldn't be surprised if either won the show...
There are a couple decent guys, contendor series def has a lot better talent. Interested to see how Silva and Batista do against better talent. The last hw season had some older vets too, if the contendor series was around then though Meathead wouldnt have been on tuf.
Man Dana's a dick....I hardly think his name is that odd in his hometown. Also, Silva can't speak English? Why not reach out more for casting then and get better talent? I always though it was a requirement.
Not just the show, the UFC didn't show any interest in Mowry at all. You also can get a invite to tryout for the show or even skip tryouts like Bea did for this upcoming season. Some fighters were even guarenteed a contract dispute their performance on the show. I would much rather see the...
Mowry signed with Bellator after tuf tryouts, the UFC showed no interest in him all for whatever reasons. Tanner was interested in tuf a couple of years ago when they had initially hw trying out than scrapped it to do I think just a ww season. He said he would have done it earlier but not now...
