Yup, we usually have open mats on Sunday 3-5pm. I'd check our page as we will post if it happens or not. Drop-in fee is $10. We usually have 10-12 and sometimes up to 20.

I don't post on here that often, but I'm helping Kurt with his event and want to do as much as I can to make it a great one. I think it follows the old school "pass and submit" mentality we want to continue, especially with the points oriented competition scene.

I'm 31. So far I feel great. I think I train 2-3x a week on average and have a 55-60 hr work week with part-time b-school 6-10pm twice a week. It is possible to do well without a 100% focus on the sport...

Yeah, $10 is an administrative decision made by the school to increase revenues to improve the academy (ex. raise money to replace the mats after the flooding). Hope to see you guys soon. We have pretty good sessions!
When did you go to Ralphs open mat? Been opening it over a year but not sure that I've seen you yet. But it'd be good to roll with you! I usually open it Sundays 1-3pm or 3-5pm.
