Shoyoroll, and it's secondary market is a healthy thing for the BJJ world and other gi manufacturers.
Don't like the company? No worries, absolutely nothing they do will affect you if don't want to buy their stuff.
However, their limited production runs allow them to take interesting risks...
Hey everyone... I'm looking for a gi that has a similar fit/cut to that of Shoyoroll or Lucky (circa 2007, the first gis they ever made), but without the giant logos and limited availability.
I use to be a very frequent poster here and had a slew of gis (Shoyoroll, Lucky, Atama, OTM, Fuji...
All this got started a long time ago. I publicly unveiled four colors, however, I also have four more pairs that nobody saw. Due to a number of circumstances the project ended up dying. There are plenty of companies in the middle east that will make small runs of poor quality shorts that I...
No... that project is dead in the water. I would like to get back to it eventually, as I don't think anyone is going to be adding quality color garments to the MMA world in a long long time, but things just didn't work out.
I got an email on March 23rd apologizing for the shipping delay... today, August 8th, I finally got them. They came with a pair of crappy "PFC" gloves (size large... which isn't my size but I'd never where them to begin with, so it doesn't matter).
No note explaining what took so damn long...
Read my previous post... you can call their stores, but they aren't that helpful.
You're probably the only person here that doesn't know them. :icon_chee 5'8" 155
Yep... to make matters worse they don't have any idea how the sizing actually runs. I sent them my stats and I think they originally said A2 top, A3 pants, but it turns out I was actually an A1 for both.
It's expensive, for sure... but they'll sell out quickly and them people will make an arm and a leg on eBay. Since I'm already a Lucky Gi owner they gave me a $35 off coupon. But I'm too busy buying hideously ugly shoes to get another gi.
It's not MMAWarehouse hate I was reading the paper between the crack in the seat.. shit's hard to read. Everyone likes MMAWarehouse... good for them for getting custom shorts AND a custom gi!
at least I didn't say MMAHustle... :icon_chee
I can confirm this as fact.
Yesterday, I was on a plane and the guy sitting in front of me had a black envelope with the Sprawl logo on it. About halfway through the flight he opened it up and there were a couple pictures of gis. Each had a stripe running down the leg and the collars on the...
No, MMA gear isn't all that pricey. Even the stuff that's universally considered overpriced isn't really that bad. Well, unless, of course, you're 15yo TUF newb that's living on an allowance... but shit, even Mackz has a good assortment of gear. :D
I actually have a fightstore.fr made shirt and the screen printing is GREAT. However, the screen print on my girlfriend's Fedor hoodie is horrible... the red wasn't set correctly and now all the white printing is pink... but that's definitely not fightstore.fr's fault.
