A diehard fan running on fumes

Just become a smarter-than-casual casual. It's not so bad. I've been doing it for several years now. Catch fights that are super intriguing, skip ones that are not. Sometimes I get to where I want to watch more and do, other times I'll forget completely about an event (or several). Live your...

Tony Ferguson Is The Most Inspiring Fighter In The Sport

I do. I do a ton. I work with kids daily, as a teacher and a coach. Increasingly, with out a father figure in the home, our kids need good role models that they can pull ANYTHING positive from. Kyle Lowery was another good professional athlete example from this weekend.

    Best Athletes in MMA History?

Yeah, to dunk is a skill. It's a learned thing, 6'4 or not. And everyone can dunk on the internet.

    Best Athletes in MMA History?

That's a skill. Russell Westbrook is the best athlete in sports (imo) but Lebron is a more skilled bball player. I've worked with guys that run sub 4.5 40 who do layups like that. It's not a telling thing. Also to consider, he has 2 brothers that are NFL athletes. That alone is a telling thing.

Brian Ortega must change camp immediately

It's hard for me to see him being that much better than everyone he fights. But he is. Always. Tony Ferguson does kind of the same thing. Did you expect the Ortega fight to go down the way it did, or did you think it'd be a lot closer?

Brian Ortega must change camp immediately

I tend to agree here. I also am slowly realizing that Max may be a cut above. Is he better than he seems?

Ben Askren confident he can beat GSP: I have the wrestling advantage and I never get tired.

I've coached athletes like this. Even really good ones. They tend to be pretty mental midgets in all categories. I don't think that Askren is in ALL categories. But I think that GSP is in his head, and not even trying.

Ngannou might be the first A-level athlete in the UFC HW division, but he is not the first A-level

Strange how neither of you you failed to answer the question. I'll start the game then. I'll take Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, Von Miller, Dez Bryant, O'Dell Beckham, Cam Newton, Mike Evans, David Johnson, Russell Westbrook, and Dan Bailey, just for giggles. You pick the team sport, you pick...

Ngannou might be the first A-level athlete in the UFC HW division, but he is not the first A-level

I don't agree. If you take the 10 best soccer players right now, and put them in a team sport game (any game not soccer) with the 10 best NFL athletes, who wins? If you take the 10 best NFL athletes, train them from the beginning of their athletic lives to be soccer players, more than not they...

Joe Rogan: fighters are lucky Lebron plays basketball

Coast-to-coast dunk in 5 dribbles... This is an INSANE display of athleticism.

    UFC’s Real A-Level Athletes

I disagree, Jon Jones is the best athlete ever in the UFC. I do think Yoel and Randleman are freaks, though.

I just cant get behind the Ngannou hype...

In an old Heavyweight division, he is legit. His problem will be how long he can hold up, he still looks behind the learning curve to me. I said this in a thread the other day, and I think it's relevant to the "Joe Rogan...Lebron" thread, but Ngannou is the guy that, had he been born in the...
