Yeah but if you have 2 fighters who are not used to throwing fights then it is easier to throw the fight early in round 1 than to draw it out.
(I'm not saying the fight was fixed though.)
I never understood those who say he was boring. He had so many fun fights IMO, including:
Hughes 1,2,3
BJ 1 & 2
Serra 1 & 2
Fitch
Trigg
Bisping
Hieron
Sherk
Condit
The guy was just plain dominant and demands to be in the GOAT discussion.
Wow...Rumble, Matt Hughes, Paul Daley, Diego, Chris Lytle....those are all nobodies???
The guy beat some legit guys but if you just started watching mma the last few years I can see why you may be confused.
And I thought Rampage would never beat Wand after he got destroyed by him twice.
We watch fights and enjoy them because we really don't know what will happen. Fighters evolve and change and anything can happen. But glad to know the OP has everything figured out.
Didn't 170 pound Gono beat Mousasi around the time GSP was in or beginning his prime years?
Yes, I know GSP once lost to Serra too but saying this is a mismatch just due to size is ridiculous.
Fight takes place in their primes but at MW eh? Well in GSPs prime he was a WW but I would still take a prime GSP over prime Mousasi. Prime GSP would get the takedown all day long and would be able to survive long enough on the feet to get the takedown any time he wanted.
I don't know dude, I saw a study that said the aging men that took TRT were at a higher risk of stroke or heart attack especially in the first 2 years of use.
To assume the risks are minimal if you are not abusing is a leap of faith, IMO...
Jones would have a claim i
Not privy to this entire debate but why don't you post a research paper indicating that steroids play no factor in mma?
BTW calling for someone to post a research paper in this forum is hilarious. If you want to read research papers then I think you are in the wrong...
GSP never does much stand-up? LOL! He spent alot of time in his fights standing up. By far the leader in total strikes landed during a UFC career and you can't tell me all of these were on the ground. GSP also finished 8 fights in the UFC compared to 10 so far for Jon Jones so not sure why...
