I'm excited for it. I genuinely think a number of people are interested in it, but don't feel like dealing with the super cynical EA Bad crowd that dominates too much of the conversation about the game.
So we just quietly wait for it to come out.
Played tonight. Just PvE, dicking around trying out some new weapons.
I know PvP guys are still bitchy after the update, but things seemed better in PvE. Dragonfly is actually worth a shit now. HC felt good on console.
Yeah, we can't trust intial reviews on a game like this. In most of the reviews I can remember, they weren't even thru the campaign before they wrote the reviews. Most of the big issues with the game, aren't as noticeable that early.
I've came to conclusion that D2 is so broken at the design level that its not getting fixed anytime remotely soon. If ever.
Maybe the big dlc3 Taken Queen unfucks giant things like loadouts or subclass customization, but D2 has design system issues.
Bungie & the playerbase might be better...
The Faction Rallies & IB will atleast have ornaments & Masterworks to try & grind for. Been waiting for the Faction Rally to come back so I can grind for a MW The Number & MW True Prophecy to drop.
I love Mayhem. Yesterday was the 1st time I've stepped foot in the Crucible in a month. It was a blast. It fills a fun niche that the current handholdy hallway teamshootfest doesn't remotely itch. Most fun I've had in D2 PvP by far.
Want a good laugh, check out the BattleFront 2 reddit. That place is in full melt down. A post by an EA PR stooge just set the Reddit record for most downvotes by 50k & still counting.

Sunbreaker with the Hallowfire Heart running the Sun Warrior build is pretty kickass.
Sentinel with the Mask of the Quiet One, running the tree with an extra shield is a good build.
