They are holding up extremely well. As expected of top tier Mexican craftsmanship .
The hand compartment is pretty snug .
You will be fine with either 12oz or 14oz if it's just for bagwork .
The Skulltec (green model, the thicker one) seems to protect a little better than the NG2, but is significantly heavier.
If you've seen videos on how the Skulltec is generally used, it's pretty big and is folded on top of the knuckles. In the photo below, one square pad is originally composed...
You're right. And I see you also have long experience with the Winning 10oz fight gloves, nice.
My pair is still great, going strong since 2013 and used primarily on the heavybag by a heavyweight .
While they are extremely comfortable, light and durable, I'm just not a fan of the lack of "pop"...
They're good, great protection and durable.
I prefer the wrist support on the RB2 and RB11 though .
Titleboxing always has a 20% off discount around somewhere so that makes it even more worthwhile .
Edit: title actually has a 25% off code right now that expires 9/30. Code is USEHEART
NIce, I think Erik Morales was known for using Boxeo in training. I hear it's one of the more protective authentic mexican brands.
Curious on the older Grants... mind showing some pics?
The Everlast MX pro fight gloves have plenty of room for that.
And it's not like the knuckle guard combination I'm using is much bigger than a standalone NG2 or Skulltec alone. That's because I'm simply discarding the blue elastic band of the NG2's, and only using 1 layer of the Skulltec...
Yeah I like it, especially with the way it was structured, soft layer as the first layer to make contact with the knuckles, so it's comfortable right away.
Without it, it would be a bit denser as the knuckles would be making contact with the default padding (standard natural latex as opposed to...
Yeah it should be fine. It's practically the same as Reyes, maybe a bit softer.
They're supposed to be 99% similar to Grants, with the padding and leather being completely identical.
The craftsmanship is top notch that's for sure. Comparable to Reyes/Winning. The leather seems a bit grainy compared to the smoothness of Reyes/Winning leathers. I have no idea if this has to do with the metallic colors, but they definitely seem high quality.
Though to be honest I generally...
Lol .For bag/mitts only? Sure.
But with such a low quality right glove like that, I would definitely use a high quality knuckle guard such as Winning NG2 or Skulltec green model.
I actually use a combination of the 2 knuckle guards by stripping away the nylon band of the NG2s, then taping...
No they will arrive in about 10 days. They just shipped yesterday .
Plan on using them for the bag and mitts only.
Most preferably bags and mitts with Conor McGregor's face painted on them.
