**Video** Matt Lindland vs. Purple belt OPEN WEIGHT

Yes, this was Fabiano's tournament. Does anyone know who Lindland's last opponent was in the Gi competition? He was from Gracie Barra and won first place in that division.

best tactical folder in your opinion

That's a good one, any of the S30V steel blades are great IMO. That one is perfect for a basic AXIS folder. It's comparatively inexpensive but very high quality. I wish it came in coated black with serrated combo edge.

Do rings help the impact of a punch?

Most rings are harder than knuckles, so a large enough ring can definitely increase the chances of a KO or a broken jaw.

    ko

The cheekbone or tip of the jaw are better spots to aim for a straight shot KO than the nose, but the jaw right under the ear or the temple are best for hooks and roundhouse...etc strikes.

    Is This Bad?

What tournament, style? Sounds like you did the right thing rooting for your brother while he was fighting. Think of it this way: If you had to make the choice would you do as well if you knew your brother was stretching instead of yelling for you to get after the other girl? Also yelling for...

    Wing Chun?

I think Kyokushin fighters would benefit from training with an Olympic TKD coach to improve their kicks. I'm sure TKD fighters could improve their punches training with Kyokushin fighters. No style is useless. No style is perfect.

    Wing Chun?

Hey WingChun, do you use WC Wooden Dummy for practice? Those look like a useful tool for conditioning your forearms & hands, feet, shins...etc. I've never used one myself so I don't know how well it works, but it looks like it would help. They are alot harder than a punching bag & have arms & a...

    Kung Fu?

Yeah, that clip is a good example of how Lee really did know how to fight. Some people think he was only good at "stage combat", but they need to do a little more research.

    Wing Chun?

Well Tao of JKD was mostly conseptual knowledge that Lee had written down. He talked more about basic movements and did not talk much about grappling or trapping. However Larry Hartsell a student & long time friend of Bruce, Published a straightforward example of the direct application of JKD to...

    Wing Chun?

There are so many practical aspects of Wing Chun that are being utilized by mixed martial artist's these days. Consider this: How many fighters in MMA use Jeet Kune Do as part of their training? Quite a few IMO. One of JKD's big influences was Wing Chun. Bruce Lee trained under legendary Wing...
