I have to agree with this. There have been times that I was excited to see a Bellator card. I can't remember the last time PFL excited me. Probably the first season when there was some novelty to it. After that it became a litany of bad fights week after week. The tournament format leads to guys...
No, he made a very wise decision. I'd fight a prime Earnie Shavers for what he got paid. He was making Peanuts for being the heavyweight champ of a major sports organization. Now he is claiming that he has memory loss after the Joshua fight. Probably he should retire and enjoy his bag.
Not a huge fan of Mark Kriegel. Never thought George Foreman added much to the commentary, either. People don't like him much, but I miss Teddy Atlas doing color.
Wow, I had to make sure this was the same Walters I saw beat Donaire in Carson a decade ago. I didn't know anything about Walters, so I was pretty surprised about the Outcome. I hope he isn't too old to make an entertaining fight.
Hopefully Mike can all out blitz him and put him to sleep. Otherwise, I think he is dead after 2 rds. This is really sad. If he wants a real fight he should call out a top 20 type heavy. Even against somebody like Luis Ortiz or Kubrat Pulev. Those are at older guys but still under 50.
Wilder will hurt Frank badly. This fight shouldn't happen unless Frank really wants more CTE. It wouldn't go one rd. They would get in an exchange and Wilder would put him out.
I really liked strikeforce. So if this can be anything like that, count me in. Maybe Coker can get the fighters and Melendez can do more of the promotional part of it.
I had to do a double take seeing the name Sullivan Barrera on a card. He has been around forever.
Shopworn would probably be putting it mildly to describe him at 42.
Flaz vs Santa Maria is the fight I want to see. Should be a real banger.
Main event is another banger for sure. The left hook to the body must be part of the school curriculum in Mexico. Madueno has a good one for sure. Both guys are wading in, standing chest to chest and banging each other to the body.
Erdenebat has some subtle slickness. Rolls and slips pretty well. Soumaoro is game, though. I was starting to think he would get put away in the middle rounds, but he keeps coming back. For an opener, it's been a really good fight.
On paper, it appears to be another banger of a card. Having a set schedule really fills a void. I grew up watching Tuesday night Fights on USA and then ESPN with Friday night fights. This feels like that possibly even better since they seem to really stack their cards.
ATG, Got to see him fight a couple of times live. He had a technique where he would pound guys on their hips opposite of where the ref was. It seemed to be pretty effective in taking his opponents legs away later in fights.
So I follow Ike Ibeabuchi. For a 50 year old he looks jacked. 245 lbs of rock. I'd like to see him climb back through the ropes get 2 knock the rust off fights and then go for a big money fight.
