I love how all the group-think sheep are ignoring how glaringly corrupt the playoff system is when UCF just beat the team that beat the two final playoff teams while being a double digit underdog. They beat Auburn more than Clemson did. They scored more points on Auburn than Georgia (2×), Alabama, or Clemson.

Oh, and they didn't lose a game all year and yet had absolutely zero chance to even be considered for the playoff. Ranked a disgustingly low 12th when being 12-0. Routinely ranked behind 3-loss teams all year.

When the committee is stack full of "Power 5" ADs and buffoonish dotards, this is the crap result you get. A system that most reasonable people can deduce is a staggeringly stank load of crap.

Have fun watching the consolation game next week.

Sad!!

I will enjoy it. Thanks!

By the way UCF will be forgotten about after this season. They are a flash in the pan. This is where being a blue blood matters. You get the benefit of the doubt. Alabama has proven itself time and again. Even if they stumble, they always regroup and can beat anyone at any time.

Its great to be a Tide fan.

I hate that Frost is leaving.

Funny how those who benefit from an obviously corrupt system have no problems with said system. But reasonable people without their head in the sand realize what's going on. It's only those teams who routinely are ranked highly before a game is ever played that want to keep an obviously shit system to determine who gets into the playoffs.

UCF is returning most of its players, so they'll be good again next year, too. Due to the obviously corrupt system they exist in, they'll have to win every single game again to even garner top 10 consideration. Meanwhile, Alabama could lose to Mercer and still get in.

I hate that Frost is leaving.

He's leaving because he can coach a team to 13-0 and not even be ranked in the top 10. Why coach a team when said team is eliminated from playoff contention BEFORE a snap is even played in the season. Over half of teams in the country are eliminated from contention by virtue of having not been included in old boy club conferences.

No way in hell Frost takes the dumpster barrel Cornhusker job if UCF had made the playoffs. But Nebraska starts every season with a real chance at competing for a playoff spot when most other teams do not.

UFC beat a Aubrun team that didn'T care much....UCF played that shit bowl like it was the biggest game in life.

Clemsoun would have trounced them 50-10

Did you personally interview the players and coaches of Auburn to ascertain this information? Do all teams that lose bowl games to an underdog not care, or is it just Auburn?

Curious how UCF beat Auburn by more on a neutral field than Clemson beat Auburn at home. They also put up over double the points on Auburn than Clemson did.

Well yeah

It's good to be part of the elites.

When you are a program who is accustomed to playing in big games, the Peach Bowl against a team that most people know absolutely nothing about does nothing for motivation.

You are playing for some Peach Bowl trophy...yay...

But for a team like UCF, it's a statement game. A way to put your name out there, so they were extremely motivated, while Auburn was still all disgusted that they beat two teams playing in the playoff.

Auburn stood nothing to gain from that game, while UCF had an ego boost and a perfect season to play for.

It does make a difference.

Woe look at all the great teams they beat

I see 6 bowl eligible teams on that list and no losses. It's not like Alabama beat anyone of significance all season before last night. And UCF beat Auburn who smoked Alabama in Bama's last game and went 1-1 with Georgia.

If Auburn can't get up for a NYD bowl game, that's on them. UCF National Champs.

It's a baseless assumption. Had Auburn won, that means they're motivated. But since they lost, they weren't motivated. They sure looked motivated when playing the game. Maybe they just played an extremely good and very underrated UCF team.

That's the system UCF agreed to play under. You don't agree to something and then cry after the fact that it's not "fair."

lol @ Frost trying to prop UCF up when he left them for freakin' Lincoln, Nebraska.

UCF is a good team, but unless you are a UCF fan or just hate the SEC, that game is a nothing burger.

Now that there is a playoff, the bowls are meaningless. As an Alabama fan, if it's not the playoffs, it's a shoulder shrug.

Time to rebuild for next season.
