Feminism is a product of prosperity & women entering higher education. Feminism definitely doesn't help the total fertility rate (TFR) of a country, but a low TFR cannot be blamed on feminism. A low FTR is the product of, again, prosperity. This phenomenon can be seen worldwide, both today, and in history. I believe a Roman general once said to his fellow Romans 'how can we expect to keep the Roman empire alive if we do not produce a new generation of Romans? Do you expect them to grow on trees?', or words to that effect. I remember seeing that quote somewhere, although I don't know if it's real. So that would be an indication that in ancient times, a low TFR was a problem too.
This paradox is fascinating. The very thing which humans create and hold so dearly to their hearts, is actually the very thing which causes them so much suffering. The cities (which is essentially what civilisation is), have the lowest TFR. And a low TFR, over a long enough period, results in the death of a civilisation. Cities are able to attract rural folk due to wealth (urbanisation), so that makes up for the lack of children born in the cities, but eventually they'll run out of rural folk too.
Whether we want to accept it or not, women WILL, one day, have to return to the home and carry on the traditional child rearing life. If they don't... bye bye humanity.
