The duckunder is a move often used in amateur wrestling to facilitate a takedown. It will often help a shorter or smaller athlete get underneath (and sometimes even to the back of) a much bigger person. Not surprisingly, the duckunder has been appropriated by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and has been used for decades in competition and at gyms throughout the world. Here, we'll take a look at a somewhat conventional duckunder from the feet, along with two other far less conventional ways to apply this concept to BJJ. Ultimately, you may be able to come up with your own creative variations!

Teach them the super-duck! Blow their minds hahah and confuse the class

I love duck unders, but I don't really get them often. I only do it when my opponent is a bit lazy or makes a mistake and forgets to put weight on an arm or something. They are fun to land though, especially if you go down low.

people ususally keep a lazy collar tie in jiu jitsu or just lean on it not knowing what to do so duck unders are great

I go through phases on my opinion of the duck under lol
