100% the 80's were the absolute pinnacle of moviemaking. Action, comedy, coming-of-age films, just hands down the best decade.

Big Bobby D fan. Haven't seen The Mission in forever, added to watch list.

Angel Heart is a badass movie. Mickey Rourke when he was still Mickey Rourke.

Could be my most watched movie ever. Strong choice.

I actually haven't seen this, will add it to watch list.

Can't really go wrong with Takeshi Kitano films in general bro. You should check out all his shit

Trying to think of a few that haven't already been mentioned.

Indiana Jones (all of them)
Empire Strikes Back / Return of the Jedi
Big
Young Guns
Repo Man
Suburbia

The Blind Swordsman is awesome.

Will check out Violent Cop though.

the best thing about the 80's movies was no political correctness. The hero was upfront about what he wanted and had no problem pulling the damsel in for a kiss. Action movies was over the top with violence, and with heroes that actually look like they could kick your ass. Nerds were bullied, and sometimes they won. Comedy had less or no filter and was written smarter too. If you were lame, you were called a f@g. No one cared, cried, or killed themselves over it.

Love Young Guns.

That 80s feel man - it's what's for dinner

Even modern movies like this still use the power and feels of the 80s

Listen to that background music

Loved your post.

You still didn't say what your favorite 80's movie was though.
