I'm on Android using Chrome, and I keep running into stuff like this:

I'm not even clicking on anything when this happens. Just got this while I was trying to post this thread:

I'm getting these too and this is not new. It amazes me that a site that seems to attempt to come off as legit puts this stuff on its users.

Its not that smaller dotcoms are often desperate for ADvertizers and cant afford to screen them.

That seems like a cop out. Say even if they can't screen their advertisers as well, I'd imagine they could add some verbiage to their agreements with the advertisers that if they use Sherdog as a medium to transfer malware or any kind of deceptive software there could be some kind of implication. At least attempt to deter this from happening.

This is absolute bullshit. I get this popup within minutes of being on the forum. I cant even finish a reply without this shit coming up and making me start over

I remember this started happening months ago, and I had to just stop coming here. I tried again later and everything seemed fine, but now it's happening again. I don't have any issue with advertisements, but forcefully redirecting my browser to a malicious site is inexcusable and way over the line. And this is the only site I ever experience this on. You'd expect this stuff from the seedier sites, like shady warez or porn pages, not a damn MMA forum.

I've read up on this and sherdog is only as guilty as many, if not most, other sites out there.

The only thing they can do is demand their ad server screen the ads better, and switch to another one if they won't.

Agreed that it's super annoying though, especially today. I may have to spend some time away because it's driving me nuts.

I'm done with this on and off ad nonsense. Fix your fucking site. There are literally zero excuses for it.

The fact that this page stayed up long enough to reply is an absolute fucking miracle.

I've already pretty much stopped coming here unless there's a special card happening or something. Guess I don't need to at all anymore.
