LOL, that was a pretty solid OP list for what sounded like a troll thread. Guess I'd go with Pep...or maybe Papp.

Jack Dempsey. That man was just beastly in the ring.

Going to sound really silly here and maybe people will see this question the wrong way. But as a new fan to boxing and a casual watcher, is boxing dominated by Black's and if so why?

Boxing is dominated by poor people who live close enough to a boxing gym or have some family history in boxing

Greb and Ketchel have to be mentioned. Jumping what would be multiple weight classes today and beating Tunney and nearly beating Johnson are huge...

Jimmy Wilde deserves a mention also....

Lower weight divisions are mainly dominated by Latin's and some Asians, the middle weight classes by blacks, currently the two best heavy weights are white (ie the Klitchko brothers).

Doing well in boxing seems to be as much about poverty as anything else. Boxing is what you do when you don't have better options. That even includes sports - if you're big and athletic, going into boxing is probably a worse choice in terms of probability of making enough to retire on than playing football, or basketball, or hockey, or baseball etc. Guys sitting on the bench in all those sports make a million a year. Not many boxers make that much. Though oddly enough, nowadays boxing might be safer in terms of head injuries than football or hockey.

If you're mid-sized and athletic, baseball and soccer give you much better odds of making a good living than boxing.

But if you come from a very poor place, boxing is always there.

No Rocky Balboa or Ivan Drago???

All jokes aside it probably could've been Tommy Gunnz
