I tapped out after whichever season this was, or maybe it was after a mid-season finale, but these people and the stupid kingdom were way too retarded to justify continuing to watch. The quality had been slipping for many seasons though, I remember it being pretty good up until the governor was gone. When all of a sudden the zombies were no longer a threat because everyone could kill them soooo easily. There is a scene somewhere in there where they take back their whole little town from a massive zombie horde because they're just so easy to kill now.

The show doesn't go anywhere. It's not designed to go anywhere. I like my shows to be building towards something. It's kind of like Lost where after a certain point you realized the creators were just throwing stuff in there and had no idea how to end it or resolve all the ongoing story threads.

I still tune in when I'm watching my DVR stuff. The show just doesn't have any compelling story lines like it used to. It was a show that grabbed your emotions when someone died (Herschel was legit sad as was Shane) but now I didn't give a shit that Coralllll died.

It started getting too silly for me when there were too many supervillains in such a small radius, and nearly every group/compound they ran into was diabolical. Not just post-apocalyptic-selfish, but all crazy tricky evil mwahaha about it.

A good show would build towards either getting rid of the zombie problem or finally figuring out how to live with them. Instead it's "who's the bad guy this season" and "who's going to die this episode", and the zombies are just a backdrop.

The next is the Whisperers, but like with Negan, they took a LONG time to get to mayyyyybe get to the whisperers. They inserted some sort of garbage pail kids, prolonged everything, but they also did things right by getting rid of carl. In the comics hes, badass, but they just couldnt develop Chandler riggs. My god, his scene when he arrived at the sanctuary shouldve been epic. instead, a throw away.

I have more fatigue than disgust and it's simply cuz of their milking tactic. Starting a new season with a mutiny and saying Andrew Lincoln is leaving.. c'mon now..
