Will there be wailing and gnashing, so much as flustered attempts at justifying their vote and continuing to vote GOP for the rest of their lives?

    It's not contempt though.

It's just indifference in the face of getting filthy rich by legislating contrary to their interests.

    LOL
Yes, they quite literally are cutting benefits for homeless veterans while they’re giving a huge giveaway to the Koch brothers and people like them.

    Goddamn you’re embarrassing.

Trump supporters who still cite to/believe in the concept of "the swamp" have to be the stupidest members of the electorate, after his appointments of corporate exploiters and professional thieves to the government.

Hat money went straight there huh. God you’re an embarrassment. Can we check your post history to see all the threads you made about this program since you know so much about it. You should have at least one

Then on Dec. 1, Shulkin's staff told advocates on a phone call that the agency was ending the program--one of two major VA homelessness projects-- and funneling the money to local VA hospitals that could decide how to use it. The original VA decision was buried in a September circular without prior consultation with HUD or veterans’ groups.

“I know you are but what am I”? Lol, no wonder I feel greasy and dumber every time I go through Cincy.

Re-allocating funds to local hospitals is never going to be as efficient as having a dedicated program. This is not complicated.

Who thinks throwing money at HOSPITALS is going to help with homeless shelters? It’s moronic. Might as well throw money at a restaurant to help with it.

I do have a passing familiarity with housing assistance agencies as I have family who used to run one and another who is currently involved in helping people (including vets) obtain housing through her work. Dedicated programs make sense. You shouldn’t have to hope you have a nearby VA hospital to get housing. You shouldn’t have to hope your VA hospital hasn’t frittered away the funds.

You shouldn’t go to a housing agency for medical care and you shouldn’t have to get housing through a hospital. It’s a bizarre decision that’s going to hurt vets long term.

I am a vet. I have family using the system. I don’t becaus the va sucks. I pay for my healthcare elsewhere. The hospitals aren’t just hospitals though. You need to do some research before you see an article title that supports your worldview and run with it so you can pretend you give a shit about vets

Without googling what was the name of the program they cut?

I’ve taken family members there. I’m aware they offer a variety of services. I’m saying that there is a specialist program for it, and it is more efficient at providing housing than a hospital ever could be.

You shouldn’t blindly defend attempts to undermine vet services just because it’s done by your beloved orange Julius.

I’ll take the perspective of the tons of actual vet orgs that protested this move over yours, thanks.

This is why veterans care never gets better. If you try and change anything people who have ever even heard of what’s being changed run in and scream your killing gi joe zomg and nothing changes. We just add to the budget. That’ll work.

Conservative strategy is always: cut taxes on the wealthy to increase the debt, then use that increase to justify reducing expenditures that help the poor and working class.

As always, let's address the class traitors straight away. If you make less than $91,000 / year and you vote republican, you are a traitor to your economic peers.

Cuts to Medicare and Medicaid will cripple the system and ultimately devolve the programs to the States in the form of block grants that are means tested welfare.

So, when your Mom or Dad gets sick and can't afford Healthcare coverage, you can help your parents spend down their assets to get Medicare assistance.

Oh yes, and fuck you and the inheritance you just pissed away bc you're a fucking cowardly waterheaded republican who cuts his own throat at every turn...right after you stab your neighbor in the back with your traitorous support of republican aristocrats, of course.

The GOP are illuminati Satanists using mind control tactics to control a majority of Americans in an effort to take over.

It's really the only logical explaination.
