It has been another tough year for Socialist Europe biggest economy. It seems that free education, universal healthcare, strict environmental protection have finally caught up to another Leftists State.
Germany had to report $44.9 Billion surpluse for 2017. This latest disappointing is nothing new its the fourth annual budget surplus for the Liberal regime.

Why can't the left run on fiscally responsible policies? Where are the tax cuts for companies and billionaires to finally bring tax release for the middle class? When will Germany stop this liberal nonsense with 35 hour work week, 24 paid holidays and go back to minimum wage jobs at Mac Donalds?

Sad

I...don't really see how this ties into rapefugees, sorry. You'll have to revise and resubmit your post.

But, but, but, it's not the same. You can't use the same template, derp fucking derp.

You're right, free education and healthcare sucks. Glad I spent $1000 last week on healthcare here in the US. I am sorry you are disappointed in a country you dont live in. Any more disappointments...did Somalia not net a high enough income for you last year?

Plus curry ketchup. Sometimes I think my dad goofed when he talked my mom into moving.

How much of that surplus is left if they meet their NATO spending obligations?

This could be interesting lol. I do wonder if they have long waiting times when needing to see a Doctor. Seems like if everyone had free healthcare people would be going every time they have a sniffle. That's really the only concern I'd have with such a model. Even then, that may not be the case at all im not sure.

2016-federal-budget-01.jpg

The welfare system takes up 41% of their budget and defense takes up 10%

America has a far more liberal welfare system than Germany as a % of budget. (60% 2015)

Also Germany is spending roughly half what is pledged for nato defense spending.

If America cut back on entitlements equivalent to Germany, America would likely run a surplus.

Also, it seems as though keeping the Socialist part, and ditching the Fascist part is working out pretty well for Germany.

Well healthcare is not free its around around 15% of your income (half you the other half your employer).
Free education is also just a buzzword it gets paid from people taxes as well.
Germans are just fine with a considerable amount of tax money go into education, not just universities.
But the backbone are trade and skilled industrial jobs.

Of course, our education system is far from perfect. But at least we don't have a for-profit and financial industry around education like you have in the US.
There are some things in education that work better in the US system. Its just overall the German one seems to work better for the 21 century.

Sure about that? I have a 3 year old and 8 year old.

Germany BTFO

They have the luxury of social spending because Daddy America ensures their security. Try to budget that with a strong military

At the current rate around half Germany spend around 40 Billion a year now.
I don't mind Germany using all that money to bring the military to those NATO obligation.

But most that money will be used to pay off the debt I would assume.
