Khabib, Rumble back in the day, Kelvin Gastelum, Cyborg at 140, Hendrix, Kenflo
Ferg cut from 200.8lbs to 155
No way he was 200 lbs fight night. He was probably cutting from high 170s to low 180s
No one cuts that much.
"UFC fighters, on average (mean), regained 9.74% of their body weight. Bellator fighters, on average, regained 9.08% of their body weight. The largest amount of weight regained was 16.76% of body weight in the UFC and 17.03% in Bellator. 43% of UFC fighters regained more than 10% of their body weight, and 43% of Bellator fighters did the same."

45.8/200.8=0.228
22.8% - impossible.
Kevin Lee's 30 lbs cut = 16.2%, making him one of the bigggest weight cutters in the UFC.
"Cutting" and losing are two different things. If he started his CUT at 200.8 then he cut 23% of his body weight to make 155. Loss of over ten percent of total body water can cause physical and mental deterioration, accompanied by severe thirst. Death occurs between 15-25%. I wouldn't put it past guys to push that line but that's kind of extreme.Ferg cut from 200.8lbs to 155
Cruz loses weight from 160s but cuts from high 140s.. Faber use to cut from high 140s and lose from high 150s.. Holloway and Mendes both cut from the high 160s but walk around in the 180s.. Fili was going to fight Max Griffin at 170 in the WFC for the belt, before he got the call by the UFC a few yrs ago.. Got 155 guys losing from over 200lbs, and cutting from 180s and 190s. Yet the smaller weights seem to perform better with 25+ lb weight loss and 20lb cuts, and hold power better after cutting.depends on proportion to body mass.
Cruz cutting 25 lbs is huge compared to Yoel Romero cutting 25 lbs.

Yeah, that is a lot, he's low on fat too so he should really be going to WW, even if 165 opens up, It might improve his chin and cardio too.
It is trueThey actually say that the water weight you cut comes from the muscle, so the more muscular you are the more you can drain out. Seems odd i know
Non-HWs: Tibau (LW), Woodley (WW), Weidman (MW), Rockhold (MW), DC (LHW), Rumble (WW-Rumbleweight), Hendricks (WW- Openweight)
Conor cut 30 pounds when fighting at featherweight..
Conor definitely cut 30 pounds or so when he fought at 145. I still don't see how he did it. He's a monster LW as well.
Would be great to see that implemented. I think a lot of fighters would take a lot of shit from fans, which is why so many fighters aren't willingly to openly talk about their weight. That is an insane cut. I always wanted the UFC/MMA to list fight night weights on the Tale of the Tape. They do that in Boxing. Would be good to see what each fighter weighs on fight night.
