I know once you start you can never stop as your natural production dies down and your balls shrivel up.... but almost everyone who is taking it seems to say mostly positive things.

I'm curious are there people who wish they never started on trt and wish they can go back and not start it ?

Your natural production goes back up once you stop using it as long as you're only taking a small amount right?

Right genuine quistion i live with my grandad hes recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer would trt be of any benifit to him ?

Your natural production will come back to a certain extent. However, this varies widely from person to person. Additionally, doseage, length of time on said dose, and age of person will also determine how well your natural production comes back.

He needs to get blood work and consult with a physician. If he has low test due to prostate cancer (or other reasons) then yes, TRT may be an option to consider.

I know this aint the place to vent but fuck it
Blood work how you mean ? Ive not heard this option hes 72 btw so not really strong enough for heavy treatments

I regret the 5 times or so buying a stack (spent probably close to $2k total) and chickening out each time. The furthest I got into a cycle was 3 weeks. I felt great. But hard to look myself in the mirror. Then got too paranoid about losing my hair and other aide effects. I was ashamed to admit I was on it and hated lying about it. Always wound up selling the shit at a huge loss or just giving it away. Expensive lesson.

if you are on trt, your natural production is not enough, you should be below 300 ng/dl... so once you halt your trt regimen, you production, with time and a proper pct, will normally go back to the base line, depending on your age, may be lower.

trt is for life.

I would only consider it when I got old if I gave up on BJJ competition. I wouldn't use TRT and compete.

if you have real issues, theres absolutely nothing wrong with trt, you are not turning super human, trt is just testosterone which will push your levels to a NORMAL range, just like all normal human beings.

Grandpa needs to meet with a physician and request blood tests including testosterone levels and a host of other health indicators. His physician will help determine if TRT is an option.

I'm 32 so I think I'm gonna wait until 40+ and get my levels checked.

in reality, even hitting 40s shouldnt be a problem if you are a healthy human being.

now, it also depends if you wnt to be a rock start at your 40s, or want to live like a normal 40 years old man.

I would chose all day to be a rockstar, life is too short so fuck it. (as a matter of fact, I have already)

But lets say I wanted to compete in masters honestly... I PERSONALLY wouldn't be cool with having that advantage.

That's just me.

is not an advantage... masters is 30+, normal human beings start to decline only after 40, besides, let me tell you something, no freaking ammount of testosterone will make up for a big discrepancy on tenchinque, and no freaking ammount of testosterone will turn you into the increible hulk, yes roids do work, but at trt dose, you would not feel much difference.

Sorry if it's not what the OP was asking. But unless a doctor gave me a legit reason why I needed it, I wouldn't touch it.
I wouldn't self diagnose/elect for that level of medication just to get better at one of my hobbies. Not talking down to people who have, just my opinion.

If you're on test and another guy in your age group isn't than you have an advantage over him. Whether or not it's enough to overcome a technique difference is not the point.

In general the last thing you want to do when diagnosed with cancer is enhancing your metabolism as that means faster cell division and proliferation. This raises cancer risk and if you have cancer the risk of it growing & spreading. He should not talk about that other than with a specialised physician and my guess is this specialist will tell him to not even think about it.

Prostate cancer kind of feeds of from testosterone and needs it directly to grow. So the more realistic scenario is that your grand dad will get testosterone blocker therapy. The opposite of what you suggested.

There are natural reasons why our testosterone levels drop with age and one is the higher risk of DNA damages that can lead to cancer. Slowing the metabolism counters that. There arent any long term studies to my knowledge but it should be pretty obvious that by taking testosterone you enhance your risk of developing cancer. Regarding on the dosage by a lot!

Marketing of TRT in the US is very one sided and dangerous in ignoring the risks.

You can compete in adult. Taking roids to compete in masters always seemed extremely lame to me.

No, ir depends, if you are on trt, and you manage to get your levels in the normal range, the other person could very well have the same levels as you. What your saying is like like this... the normal range is between 300-1100 ng/dL..: that’s a big gap, yet is considered normal.. why cause human beings are different, some can have more than others.. is it unfair that some young stud has levels around 700 vs some other dude who’s got levels. At 420? Or 700 vs someone who’s got 200? That’s unfair, and the person who’s got below normal levels has has the tools to get his Levels back to nomrnal range... making the field even. If you want to even the field, the. Ideally Everybody should be on the same levels, Which is not possible, so trt alows you to get to normal levels, if you have hypogonadism, making the field even. Testosterone is testosterone, it doesn’t matter where it comes from...your body or exogenous.
