Anyone use the trap bar / hex bar deadlift?

I sometimes take the weights off and put one end against the wall. Can do a T bar row variation with both hands on one handle.

I like trap bar rows for time efficiency; after I finish my deadlifts, I just drop the weight to the point I can do rows.

A S&C coach (Boxing specialist) I follow said they prefer the trap bar over conventional as it has less of a learning curve, usable across the force/velocity curve and use plyometric movements (Jumps) and less sheer force on lumber spin as loads is centred under your base of support

I feel like the first part, the learning curve, is what's really not being mentioned in the thread. Several posts have brought up footballers and other sports being seen using the trap bar, and that is probably the biggest reason why.

Hate to be that guy, but if you have injured yourself doing squat and deadlift conventionally, it is simply because you never learned to do them properly, and continued to do them incorrectly while adding weight. However, when it comes to professional athletes that aren't strength athletes, it makes sense their trainers would favor a form with the lowest learning curve and highest return. They'd probably prefer their athletes spending more time training sport specific drills rather than fine tuning their compound lifts.
