As much as many hate Conor, his approach may be correct for all.

Who did he duck?
I'll ask this typical Sherdogger....

I have absolutely, NO CLUE how NFL is America's biggest sport as well as Boxer's STILL earning way more money for fighting a lot less and with pillows on their fists BUT, if money is what UFC fighters want so bad, well then, some of the UFC's best MUST enter the boxing's world and TAKE their hearts and souls.
McGregor's fiasco was a complete money grab but I do not believe that the UFC has a handful of fighters that can go to boxing and grab some very impressive wins...Problem? Don King and his types will stand in the way of allowing a credible opponent from getting a crack at their remaing kings of boxing.

UFC fighters that can possibly finish a top ranked boxer quickly (Tyson style) with their power:

#1 Francis Ngannou
#2 Stipe Miocic
#3 Junior Dos Santos

Fighters that can provide a boxing lengthy war:
#1 Max Holloway
#2 Robert Whitaker

I am sure there are others and feel free to add to my list.

If UFC guys are willing to go on their turf and steal their thunder, bigger paydays can possibly come their way....I WANNA see it!

That's like making a list of triathletes who are going to beat Olympic swimming medalists in the pool. Or beat Tour-de-France winners on the tour. Or beat Olympic marathon medalists in a marathon. It almost never happens.

Its extremely rare for generalists to beat specialists in the specialists own area.

In terms of money, team sports will always generate more money than individual sports, because they gain a regional following that becomes part of the local culture. And when one player on a team retires, a new one wears the uniform and the fans continue to support them.

There is maybe 1% of the UFC roster that could face a low level boxer and not get smoked. They are mostly old for fighters now too, and having not trained boxing for most of their lives, most simply would not be able to make it to the big paydays in boxing.

Which UFC fighters could get 'impressive wins' in boxing? And impressive, by beating who exactly?

Connie had the draw to get a fight with Mayweather, but there was almost no chance of him actually winning. There's no other ufc fighters that have that kind of draw and not really any top boxers that would be generous to carry a ufc fighter for a few rounds.

My problem with him right now is that it seems to only be about the money and nothing else. And I am still a fan and was a huge fan but he is starting to lose me. The all-time great’s in every sport it is really about the competition. Yes the money is great but the competition is what drives you. He doesn’t seem to care about the competition. He only cares about what he is getting paid.

Dude
Any of those guys you put above would lose against ANY Bank”able” boxer in a boxing ring.
Connie made money just because the hype behind was insane and it was Floyd last hurrah.
Wait and see if he actually fights Pac (lol)and look the numbers dwindle.
That was an anomaly.

Ngannou would get executed if he ever fought Wilder or AJ let alone any other Top 10 HW.

Ok I'll bite...

Let's see where do I begin....

NFL is America's #1 sport because they market and promote their product well, have multiple billion dollar tv deals, its own network, and maybe 100 or so years head start ahead of MMA....and it's controlled violence and makes even more money through gambling and fantasy and apparel/clothing...etc....it's really not hard to figure out why it's America's #1 sport.....

You REALLY should have more respect for pro boxers than this statement shows....

JDS's chin is glass
Stipe was dropped by an Overeem JAB
And Ngannou's wild striking would get countered so fast......

There is just one problem with this idea.... Boxing is boring on most fights. MMA is exciting on a lot more fights.

Every fighter that does this and disappears from MMA for a while will get the same hate as Conor for holding up the belt defenses. The only proper way is to give up your belt if you want to box.

Ngannou would get dealt with by Carlos Takam, Johann Duhaupas and Gregory Tony. He wouldn't even be near the best heavyweight boxer in France. You guys are really foolish about boxing.
