9/20: Opeth - Sorceress

Few albums this year had me as excited for their release as Opeth's new album, Sorceress. It lived up to the hype, and went out of its way to welcome in old and new Opeth fans alike. Having firmly moved on from the death growls that made them famous, Mikael Akerfeldt's vocals are on point as they brought back some of their beloved intensity with tracks like Strange Brew and Chrysalis.
