Homosexuals being integrated into being part of the society, eliminates the one (and perhaps the only) distinguishable function that homosexuality offered to the society.
Now that they are no longer "outsiders looking in", natural rebels against society's structures, there is truly nothing special or meaningful whatsoever in a person being a homosexual.
