great performance but the level of experience and skill was so lopsided; gillian hadnt sparred anyone near honchak caliber, much less fought one.

this isn't like murphy who is experienced, but athletically limitied and technically limited in striking and wrestling

Well said. This fight looked like the #2 seed versus the #15 seed. She looked good, but then, she was supposed to.

Its amazing how much a 3-1 fighter overcame simply by being tenacious and better in the clinch, and decent everywhere else.

I thought she should have won the fight in the finale against the lady who everyone forgets her name but didn't watch it that closely. It seemed like the judges give much too much weight for takedowns. If someone is taken down and the person who took the other person down doesn't do anything with the takedown it shouldn't be such a big deal to the judges.
