He has successfully captured my interest, but he has failed to make me believe he is elite.

After the faceoffs I'm not worried about the fight being cancelled. Those 15 pounds were not 'good' pounds. Looks like an easy fight after Romeros first opponent gave him trouble.

Romero's first opponent was 1-1 entering thr Cotton fight so I looked up the other guy he lost to and it looks like someone Bellator (or UFC - all need help at 185) should be offering to sign from the XFL

Why does it have to stand out? It's fights, it's on tv. Unless you're planning on watching CES MMA on AXS TV tonight, then it's this or find something else to do with your time. What's the point of complaining?

Anytime I can watch Caldwell for free it stands out for me. Fake Conor has my interest a bit too.

Logan Storley is another high level wrestler who is starting to climb up the ladder, i'm an NCAA wrestling nerd, but his being on the card captures my attention.

Also Ronero Cotton on the prelims for the same reason as Storley, but Cotton needs to look good and improved tonight or I will lose interest in him moving forward.

I'm guessing South Dakota is just one of those commissions that are really lax with their regulations.

Hell, it's actually interesting what a dearth of MMA-activity that region is. The UFC has only held one event in the state (McDonald vs Liniker) and this is the first one that Bellator has ever held. That's the sort of inactivity that leads to ghost stories. Does the state even have an MMA commission?
