Bellator trying to create stars

They give Dillon Danis a 2-4 fighter that has his two losses by submission. What is this nonsense. He wants be a real fighter? Give him a real fighter. Knobs
Kind of like Dern?

Bellator has done this since it first opened its cage doors. You forget Bjorn Rebney and his "super fights"? For example putting Huerta coming off a loss to get murdered by Alvarez. Chandler and everyone that seems somewhat marketable getting Caveman Rickels as an opponent. MVP's whole Bellator career. Meathead and Nelson getting cans that pushed them to the limits and I can go on for days. Rudy Bears fighting anyone being a sacrificial lamb for Paul Daley's debut and fighting MVP.

It's his very first MMA fight. What else were they going to do?

UFC is more concerned about promoting the UFC, not the fighters.

That silly cunt from U.K. MTV show “Geordie Shore” and his “fights” are absolutely enbarrassing.

they gave Pico a supposedly easy nobody too... and he KOed Pico

He's 0-0
What did you expect?
Fight in the minor leagues until he proves he's ready for someone that is already signed to bellator. They signed a guy they think it's shitty enough for him to beat

They need to grab Nick Newell the one armed fighter. 14-1, Only loss to Justin Gaethje. Feed him cans, make him a star, they are missing the boat with this free agent.

Theres nothing wrong with that booking at all, he's got no fights, thats who he should fight. Its gonna be someoen he's tap out easily and should look good doing it.

Thats what they should do for a few fights to let him develop.

This is honestly common practice. If you want to be serious about this argument then look at how even some of the most promising boxers are brought up.

Look back at the records of some of the cans who are brought in to fight when boxers like Errol Spence, Davis, Canelo, and such were making their debuts/ gaining experience.

Look at mvp’s debut in boxing. Dude fought a guy who was like 2-11. This is honestly standard practice. You’re honestly fooling yourself if you think this isn’t the case.

Vary rarely do you see debuting fighters dive into the deep(er) end for their debuts like lomachenko.

This is honestly why I praise someone like pico, even in defeat, for going up against a man who was 6-2 and being considerably bigger I’m his debut.

How do people come up with this?

He fought a man who was 7-2 (or 6 can’t remember) considerably bigger, and who had just fought for a regional title.

I think Bellator is being smart. There's nothing positive about throwing guys to the wolves.

They learned with Pico it's better to do the slow build Danis has 0 mma experience no amateur career he's transitioning from Bjj competition.

Mckee, gallagher, all the wrestling prospects all started with showcase fights and gradually are moving up in competition it's the right strategy and will payoff as they get better and better and become the top tier talent.

Danis has to prove himself

Not saying Freeman is a great fighter or anything special but he had experience and and wins and for a kid making his debut on a huge card he probably had the jitters and was nervous and got caught.

Freeman had experience and fought for a regional title. A true nobody would have been a 0-1 or someone with no fights which is what they should have done. Had he done in the second fight KO'ing a guy cold in the first fight on the big stage at MSG his hype would have went through the roof. Instead he lost and it set him back.

he can still regain all that super hype and in two years he could be a champ, one of best in the world and that first loss means nothing like aldo or Barao. But there is no doubt that matchup set him back.

Most likely if they rematched in a year Pico probably will lay him out cold on the canvas.
