Yeah she is hugely unpopular in the rust belt. But, really, California is the only blue state she carried that wasn't entirely apathetic. She basically tied Obama's vote totals in New York, but when you account for 4 years growth of registered voters that's not a good showing.

Point being, I think almost any candidate will be a threat to Trump in 2020. I don't think there are a lot of votes out there for him to gain, and the turnout should be huge no matter who runs, which favors the dems.

Yep, because when Americans voted for Trump, they voted for ballooning deficits that make Obama look conservative, deregulating banks, increased defense spending, socialism for corporations, and capitalism for the poor.
