I felt like he just started headhunting and was no longer as composed with his striking as before. In his prime he was one of the least hit fighters and was able to walk down prime Cro Cop.

The fear his the takedown, and the brutal gnp that followed did stop guys from overly committing to throwing at him though, had to always be ready for that, later in his career, when he was just slugging, that fear was gone, so he become easier to box with, hell even Rogers was able to get his striking going against Fedor... his striking is obviously not terrible ha, but it was greatly aided by his all round skills
