Betting Questions

I've been hedging my bets for years, no repercussions

yep.

i remember like 8 years ago i asked customer support a few sites "is it ok if i do this?" and they said no, but ended up doing it over the next few years on all sites and it never affected anything.

so officially you're "not supposed to" but i think everyone does it...

Would a casino refuse to pay a big sports bet?For instance fight night 61.If you had picked all the winners and bet a 500 dollar parlay it would have paid out over 240 million.Would a casino not pay that?If they do pay it do you get it all at once?

I imagine that all brick and mortar sportsbooks would have a limit to a single winning bet (including parlays) just like online sportsbooks do. I think 5Dimes' limit is 100k.

What happen to winning or losing bets after NAC ruled it a No Contest ?

Thanks

Not if it gets ruled a NC later on though right? Like if someone pisses hot.
Correct, only the result on the night of the fight is what counts. susanto asked about the NAC- I think he means the NSAC, or Nevada State Athletic Commission- turning a fight into a No Contest days, weeks or months later that means nothing for the bets.

Thanks for clarifying

I was watching Drew Dober yesterday which the ref stopped the fight even though he didnt tap, but looking at his record, NCAS ruled it as a NC

It must be sucked for the punters that betting for Drew that night

Advice from any Canadian bettors...

5D and Unibet seem like they are impossible to get money onto from Canada. Both my Visa and Mastercard auto-decline and the fees are brutal for wiring from my bank. The only book I am able to use is Bodog (which I hate; no LB, lines up late, props up day of fight usually). Any advice or other success stories are greatly appreciated...

I have not tried wiring to 5D, I did not know it was expensive/difficult. Thanks for sharing.

I can't use bodog because I am a quebec resident either!

Seems like sportsinteraction.com is the only alternative. Have you tried it ?

I'm not Canadian but as an American with limited sportsbook choices, in my opinion, 5D and Unibet are such good books that I would jump through any hoops I could to bet there at both places as far as payment methods. Getting good lines, early lines, props and live betting so much more important than a small inconvenience of getting paid assuming that there is at least one reasonable way. You didn't mention Western Union, Moneygram, a debit card account that they set up for you or Bitcoin. Those all might be possibilities for you. I know I would do anything I could to bet at Unibet.

I haven't but I'll give it a look. Thanks.

Well, hoops it is then. Thanks for the feedback.

Has anyone bet on Bovado.lv? I am concerned they are a scam. I bet $200 on Diaz to win which he did, I submitted a withdrawal for $800. They sent a confirmation email more than 30 days ago that my withdrawal request has been accepted, I have been calling them periodically but they keep telling to check my account and that they never not make the payment.

Couple of stories: at first they were telling me that they got backlogged and now they have been telling me that they had some technical difficulties with the 3rd Provider they use for transmitting money. I am wondering if I should just call my bank and dispute the $200 charge on my card or hope that they will transfer the $800 to my card as they have been telling me but not sure at this time.

I was hoping that someone on this forum had used them, and could provide some feedback negative or positive.
