Bigfoot or coincidence?

I would like to get thoughts on an experience I had a number of years ago out in the woods. I am primarily looking for the opinions of people that are open to these kinds of things but of course want to hear everyone's take.

I am talking about two experiences I had about a month apart out in the woods near a large pond around midnight. To get there it is a hike of about two miles off of a very sparsely populated area-- maybe 200 people. It is illegal to camp in the area we were in.

The first time my friend and I decided to hike into the area around 1030 at night. We were sitting out next to the large pond surrounded by mountain ridges and trees. Around midnight while sitting quietly we heard the very loud sound of something being thrown or falling into the water. It was loud and had a lot of base to it. I would guess it was a boulder and it would have had to be bigger than a basketball. This happened twice between which I shouted out that I had a gun just to scare whoever it was. We became uncomfortable so we left. I thought nothing of it after that.

Then about a month later I took a few young men with me on the same hike around 1030 at night. I used to live in a bad area and some of the neighbor kids sort of latched onto me and my home became a safe place for them living in a bad area with no supervision.

We did the same hike and were sitting on the same shore just taking in the night when the same thing happened, twice. I was a bit spooked and yelled out the same thing and we decided to leave again. This time though we were trailed by something on the way out. I would say whatever it was followed us for a quarter of a mile to half a mile. It was off trail and it was loud crashing through the trees and it sounded heavy. It got closer and closer to us as we walked. This kids were very scared and one of them was shaking so badly that he could hardly walk.

I took the rear the whole way out and when it got the closest I picked up a boulder and started making very loud sounds to try to scare whatever it was. I was getting ready to have to fight off whatever it was. iIwas pretty spooked. Then suddenly we stopped hearing anything at all and eventually reached the end of the trail and were safe.

This was probably 12 years ago and I didn't have internet and had never read up on Bigfoot but later when I got internet I ran across something about Bigfoot and became interested. I found out that they will throw bounders into water to scare people and that they will also follow you off trail to escort you out of an area they dont want you in. I also discovered that a Bigfoot sighting had happened in that exact area previously.

I am not saying it is bigfoot but just wonder about that. It seems unlikely that two times, a month apart I would have this issue and that someone would be crazy enough to try to scare people out in the woods after being told they had a gun (I didn't by the way.)

You didn't actually see anything? You just heard something? I don't really see much of a point to this story.

I did not see something but what trailed us out was too big to be a human being. It could have been a moose or a bear but then that makes the boulder throwing seem out of place and for it to happen twice.....

I would value your take on what it was though that accounts for all of the information.

Authorities have managed to find El Chapo at least 3 times, and he's probably been the world's most protected man.

How is it that no one has found a creature roughly 10x the size of the now-incarcerated capo?

I am an agnostic when it comes to bigfoot. I have two friends who claim they have seen something that fits the discretion.

Theories that might explain your question that sound plausible to me go like this. Bigfoot is not an ape, it is a kind of human, a common ancestor. Because of this it is very intelligent, enough to have an intellectual mandate to avoid human interaction, buries their dead, is nocturnal, and is possibly a remnant population possibly in the brink of extinction.

It doesn't matter what I think. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Why don't you just go to the same spot during the day and set up some night vision cameras? Hunters everywhere set these up and still no evidence.

i am not claiming anything-- I am agnostic about it. I wanted peoples take on what happened.

You sure there weren't any hunters around? Those dudes got a lot of fiber in their diet ...

It could have been a bear..... maybe. It was just strange with the rock throwing and it happening twice. It could be just a strange coincidence but it sure got me thinking.

Summer after 6th grade. Walking in the woods to a fishing spot I liked to go to. Just beyond the fishing spot was a large, unkept field.

In the middle of the field I saw a tall creature walk on two feet towards the side that was adjacent to the woods.

It didn't smell funky (people say they smell "bigfoot" before they see it).

It didn't make a noise.

It's entire body was the color of woodstain that you would put on your deck.

I was about 80 yards from it.

It crouched down in the field.

I walked in the opposite direction.

It could have been bigfoot. It could have been a tall guy wearing "earth toned colors" trying to scope out hunting spots before deer season started.

The end.

Yeah, yeah, you're not fooling any body, "Bigfoot". Probably made this thread to attract attention elsewhere.

Coincidence by TKO,easily!
C'mon man, night, mountain area, water, wild animals, you and "kids" alone in the woods...
I'd say Antonio Silva!

Literally none of this happened
