Has to get to 1:29 of the 8th to go past 7.5. I wasn't paying attention during the official announcement to think of that. But 1:32 of the 8th would be "UNDER 7.5".

I was reading it as he stopped it at 1:32 counting down, so 1:35, 1:34, 1:33, 1:32...

But you're saying the round clock was actually 1:28, 1:32 into the 8th and 2 seconds past the halfway point of round 8.
