Boxing Gyms--- All about endurance?

Thanks, yeah that sounds like the most logical thing to do. If I am taking private lessons, it's good that I let them figure out what I need, at the same time ask specifically what exactly I'm looking for as well. Such could be a case where they don't know what I'm looking for so it's crucial. Thanks for the advice... I wouldn't want to waste any time you know...

What is the correct way to go about this? I'm in a similar situation starting muay thai at an mma gym and class is 4 times a week. I've seen 2 schools of thought. Should I just keep my head down and keep grinding and wait for some technique correction or make it known my goal is a few amateur fights? I'm fine with either honestly. Whatever I need to do. I just feel all the bag work is drilling bad habits as we've never worked on stance technique or anything. Quick breakdown before bag work but no correction during.

You have to let them know but most likely they will say you must pay for PT

Theres a difference between teachers, trainers, and coaches. You're lucky if you have someone that is all 3.
