Low Carb Day made a big difference in my weight, but today is a high carb day, so I expect to put some of it back on.

Target: 440-660g Carbs, 220-275g Protein
Actual: 463g Carbs, 266g Protein, 154g Fat

Learning as I go here.....660g of carbs is gonna be pretty much impossible to eat...I did better on the protein yesterday. Fat was too high.

Somehow I lost 0.2 lbs over night, despite eating 4600 calories...today is a Moderate Carb Day:

Target: 330g Carbs, 330g Protein, 77g Fat
Actual: 271g Carbs, 286g Protein, 88g Fat

Low Carb Day.

Didn't get enough sleep last night, lots of DOMS from this week's workouts. Today should be interesting...

Target: 110g Carbs, 275g Protein, 33g Fat
Actual: 126g Carbs, 276 Protein, 39g Fat

DOMS didn't bother me too bad, ran, then static stretching, then foam rolling. Overshot my carbs at the very end of the day with a piece of toast. Thought I had more room than I did. Oh well...Looking forward to eating tomorrow.

I'm a little concerned that the weight may be coming off too fast. Right now I have 2 high-carb days a week, 2 medium, and 3 low, I may switch it to 3 high carb days/week.

Squats today, so High Carb...

Target: 440-660g Carbs, 220-275g Protein
Actual: 436g Carbs, 249g Protein, 55g Fat

Had 2 large plates of home-made spaghetti with meat sauce, so these numbers are a little more of an estimate than usual, but I think they're close.

Bodyweight up from yesterday, thanks to the high carb day & the spaghetti. This is Day 7 of the diet, and I'm down a total of 3 lbs in the 1st week. That's more aggressive weight loss than I'd like, but I think I'm going to give it another week on the current program & see how it goes.

Low Carb today, no fun - but have a lot to do today around the house so staying busy should help.

Low Carb Day

Target: 110g Carbs, 275g Protein, 33g Fat
Actual: 134g Carbs, 184g Protein, 30g Fat


Ended up feeling pretty sick today, stuck to the diet pretty well though. Ate out for dinner with friends, last meal of the day was grilled tilapia, spinach and grilled zucchini

Feeling better this morning, but that was too much weight loss yesterday. Shooting for a moderate carb day today.

Not sure if I'll work out today or not, depends on how I feel this evening. One additional day of rest might be more important.

Dude I went through that two weeks ago. Stuff a cold, starve a fever my mom always said. I like your plan to have more high carb days maybe mix in a bit of fat when you're feeling under the weather
 
Thanks James - I'm feeling quite a bit better this morning, but still have a congested head. Been getting 10-12 hours of sleep every night this week. That has to help...

and yes, I'm trying to eat more of everything right now - carbs & fat included until I feel better. I'll start the diet again soon....

Haven't been dieting because I've been sick. Didn't want to lose much weight, so made sure I was eating. Feeling about 90% this morning, got a workout in last night (1st one since Saturday) so the diet is back on as of today.

Today will be a low-carb day:

Target: 110g Carb, 275g Protein, 33g Fat

Goal today is to get most of the carbs in by mid-day.

Actual: 131g Carbs, 236g Protein, 53g Fat

So for my targets, I'm supposed to only count the carbs in the carb food, the protein in the protein food, etc. For example, I'm not supposed to count the protein in my oatmeal. However, I'm using fatsecret.com to track the macronutrients & it is counting everything. So instead of manually calculating this, I just figure that its not that big of a deal & I expect to be over my target for carbs & protein by a little bit every day. Of course that means I didn't eat nearly enough protein yesterday...

Eating a bunch of sashimi on the low carb day is definitely the way to go. Just can't afford that every day.

High Carb Day today:

Target: 440-660g Carbs, 220-275g Protein, try to keep the fat low.

Before Dinner, I was at 306g Carbs, 168g Protein, 75g Fat. Wife made shrimp fajitas with home made flour tortillas. It was awesome - I ate a ton, but proabbly not quite enough to get the carbs up where I wanted them. But then we went out & I had several beers, so I think the carbs were probably in the right range, protein a bit light today.

Low Carb Day

Did ok today. Ended up with 122g Carbs, 236g Protein and 45g Fat. Next low carb day I need to make sure I get enough protein by hitting it more often early in the day. Also need to keep the fat lower if I can.

Day 15 of diet. Down 4.6 lbs in 2 weeks, even though I took 4 days off from dieting last week to recover from being sick. I'm happy with that pace, its almost perfect.

Have a busy day today. Lots of work to do, plus lunch with a business partner at a Brazilian steakhouse. I think that should fit into the diet nicely...Also planning on getting an LSD run in and a bench workout.

Since I'll be working out, today is a Moderate Carb Day: 330g Carbs, 330g Protein, 77g Fat.

Wasn't able to squeeze in the run, but got a great workout in. Not sure exactly how much I ate at the Brazilian steakhouse, so I estimated. Ended up pretty close to my targets: 335g Carbs, 313g Protein, 75g Fat.

Low Carb Day today, Targets: 110g Carbs, 275g Protein, 33g Fat

Did ok today, but still light on the protein. I really have to put some better effort into getting enough protein...

Numbers from today: 140g Carbs, 239g Protein, 42g Fat.

Not too concerned about the carbs being a little high because the target number is not supposed to include the carbs in my protein sources. My total number below, is just the summary from fatsecret.com, so it is all carbs, including the carbs in my protein. I was at 110g carbs mid-day, and didn't have any additional carb sources for the day, so the carbs are on target.

Today is my birthday - I'm 39! :)

I'm going to reserve a high carb day for tomorrow (St. Patty's Day), so today will be a Moderate Carb Day.

Target: 330g Carbs, 330g Protein, 77g Fat.

I expect a cheat meal tonight, at least for dessert. Some Cherry Pie for my birthday.

I'm off work today & will most likely be at a bar watching basketball most of the day. So, I'm going to work out this morning, start the day off with some oatmeal & egg whites, but then all bets are off for the rest of the day.

This will be a High Carb / High Alcohol Day.

Didn't weigh myself this am.

Low Carb Day - Target: 110g Carbs, 275g Pritein, 33g Fat.

Did pretty good sticking to the diet today: 112g Carbs, 275g Protein, 80g Fat.

The fat is high because I had eggs for breakfast instead of egg whites, and then I had a steak for dinner.
