I hate to be that guy, I know how much this forum gets in terms of "reccomend me fighters like X" and the like, but I'm trying to get back into watching Muay Thai and I'd like to watch guys who have a well rounded game, with elusiveness, footwork, good teeps, roundkicks, knees and elbows.

I've never known a whole lot about the sport, but I'd like to give it another try now that my outlook on it and combat sports in general has changed.

Kiewpayak Jitmuangnon, Saen Paranchai,Prajanchai Pk Saenchai, Muangthai Pk Saenchai, Thanonchai Thanakorngym, Thaksinlek Kiatniwat, Phet-U Thong,Littewada , Yodlekpet Pitisak, Superlek Kiatmoo9, Satanmuanglek Numpornthep, Puenkon...

well since i follow way more the 130-135 divisions, most of the names are from there

@anorak , @Cocakillbana are the guys that are deep on the stadiums

I would recommend that you watch Lawrence Kenshin's channel then decide what fighters you prefer. https://www.youtube.com/user/LawrenceKenshin

I'm not entirely sure if you want fighters from this era or all time?

Sounds like you're just looking for fighters who fit the technician archetype. If it's all time, they're pretty well represented in muay thai all time, more so than any other archetype. You can just look at the most prominent examples of each era: Put in the 70's, Samart in the 80's, Somrak in the 90's, Saenchai in the late 90's-present, etc.

Someone like Sam-A might fit your criteria well, as he's definitely one of the best technicians of the modern era and definitely exemplifies well rounded technique. He's someone who you would give like a 9 or 10 out of 10 in every category.

If you're looking for an elusive guy who's active now, then I really like Cherry Mor. Rajapatjombeung.
Although, I don't know how well he fits the well rounded description.

For some lower weight guys: Satanmuanglek, Kingsanlek, Puenkon, Rungnarai, Saksi, Denpanom, Wanchalong, Prajanchai, Boonlung, Jakdao. I think I got most of the big ones but Coca can probably name a bunch I missed.

For above 135(136-147): Chamuaktong, Yodpanomrung, Chujaroen, Petmorakot, Rambo, Manasak, Rittivada, Nontakit.

If you go to verrix's youtube channel, you can find playlists of lots of great thais past and present, who'll fit your general criteria. I think everyone I mentioned is there except Sam-A.

Lucas Bourdon has a decent amount as well. I usually check here before I bother making a new one.

Just some other names off the top of my head:
Prajanchai PKSaenchai
Gaonar PKSaenchai
Neungpichit Sityodtong
EDIT: Dany Bill fits even though he isn't Thai

The lower weights are stacked and there are too many fighters to name but Petmuangchon, Palangpon, Cherry and Chatploy deserve mentions.

Edit: JT brought up Cherry too. Just look at these teeps

I also like quite like Banleurit Sitwatcherachai. He'd be one of the best guys under 110lbs, although some of the best sub 110lbers rarely fought at those weights. I was hoping him and Cherry would fight, but I don't think it ever happened.

Also, I think he's retired but Thewarit Thebestudon was another sub 110lber who was cool when he was around.

I like guys who are skilled at more than one weapon, and skilled at defense enough where they're not a standing heavy bag, that's, in a nutshell what I like.

Technicians kinda are what I'm talking about, but it can stray from that. They don't have to be perfect at everything, I can appreciate knee and elbow specialists aswell, but guys who have multiple weapons are preferred.

I like hard hitting, KO machines like Yodsanklai, but I also look forward to the kind of fighters that Saenchai, Panpayak or Sittichai are aswell.

Hmm... I think I'm making this quite difficult to adhere to what I originally asked in the OP, but diversity is important. If there are any fighters that have it all, like KO power, defense, footwork, skills in several areas and a high IQ, that's the perfect kind of fighter for me though, although I'm aware they're not very common.

Not all of those are the typical technicians but i think they all have cool styles: Yodlekphet, Kulabdam, Pet-U-Thong, Phetnamngarm

I remember being impressed with Tewarit from this fight but I never saw anything else from him.

Banluerit is a great call too, i forgot about him.

I actually speculated as to whether Tewarit and Banluerit were related. Same camp, similar name, similar fighting style and similar look. Maybe Tewarit just changed his name Nongbeer style and became Banluerit and I never noticed. Not impossible.

Can you elaborate on why you don't like Lawrence Kenshin's opinion?
He only speaks about fairly well known fighters, while guys on this forum are way deeper into the game...

The style of fighter you're describing is really common, most of the names in this thread and a ton of others fit the bill.

Nong-O, Petpanomrung, Kongsak...

I've looked at a few fighters at 135.

Panpayak and Bangpleenoi are definite standouts to me, but Seksan is one of the most savage I think I've ever witnessed in the sport.

His fight vs Yoklekpet was nothing short of vicious and relentless. The guys got great knees and he showed great elbows against Superbank, thoroughly entertaining fighter.

Looking at MuayThai2000.com, seems like alot of the guys from a few years ago aren't in the rankings anymore, that's a shame. I'll have to start devoting more time to watching as many fights as I can.
