Some fan you are ! It’s not obvious at all in any way and there is no evidence to suggest so either. He was a bit younger in the Moussasi fight and had only just cut down to 185 one fight before, probably really cut down his body fat percentage to get there from 20 pounds above.

As for the greasing thing, those comments from Gegard just sounded like some bitter throwaway lines on MMA Hour or some other such interview. Tight relatively small inland Brazilian arena in muggy hot temps. Watched the fight very recently, they both looked like they were sweating their asses off about 2-3 rounds in to the fight

I’m confused as to the timing of the bottom two photos - it’s clearly (based on non-Reebok shorts) from a few years ago. I’m guessing it’s Vitor in the Weidman fight, but Machida pic is also before his suspension?
