Crime Canadian Government to Apologize and Pay 10.5 Million to Canadian Jihadist Who Killed a US Soldier

Still crying I see. What does Isis have to do with Khadr's payout? He wasn't a member of Isis. He fought an invading army.

You have to look at the bigger picture. Canadians are angry because Trudeau only sides with Muslims and terrorists over Canadians. What kind of message is the liberal government sending when Trudeau, without a reasonable explanation, will pay an Islamic terrorist 10.5 million dollars and give an apology while veterans are told to eat shit. The problem with the hostage situation was that the government made no effort to get the men back. The family did not expect the terrorists to be bribed, but they thought something would be done. After the death of the Canadian hostages Trudeau ignored the family of the victims.

When you start adding things up, it becomes painfully clear that Trudeau is not interested in siding with Canadians. He seems more interested in pushing his brand and siding with terrorists over working for Canadians. Trudeau's motto should be "Canada Last".

In what country was he fighting against an invading army?

What forces was that invading army comprised of?

Who was he fighting on behalf of?

What country is he a citizen of?

Why do you ask stupid questions? Do you enjoy typing nonsense? Everyone knows the answer to those questions, but what does that have to do with the Canadian government violating his rights? He's a Canadian citizen whether you like it or not, so stop crying like a fat kid who dropped his ice cream.

What was Harper's explanation for paying the same amount to another victim of torture?

Oh, and Trudeau did side with Canadians, cause Khadr's Canadian.

The circumstances were different. Maher Arar was not in Afghanistan fighting with a terrorist group. He was wrongly accused of being affiliated with a terrorist group. The two situations are not even comparable.

So you wanted him to negotiate with an isis affiliated group?

No, but a precedent has been set. In one breath, you can't speak with an iron fist against terrorism, and refuse to give them a cent for Canadian hostages, and then in another, give a terrorist a bunch of money for his pain and suffering suffered at the hands of a foreign government.

It's a terrible representation of what this government stands for. If you're going to give a terrorist $10.5 million fucking dollars, for his pain and suffering, but turn your back on Canadian citizens who didn't hurt anybody, then what does that say? Where are the priorities? It's a joke, and I'm quite pleased that both sides in Canada seem to be disgusted with the decision.

So you believe Canada must pay ransom to terrorists?

No, but if they're going to play ball with actual terrorists, and give the poor souls compensation after they've been thoroughly thrashed after their capture, then why not?

It seems to me(and a lot of other Canadians apparently) like the pain and suffering of a terrorist who once had intent on doing harm to us, is worth more than the pain and suffering of a Canadian hostage who didn't hurt anyone..

So you agree with Trudeau when it came to the first one, but bitch about him because of what a court decided?

The terrorists were the ones invading a foreign country. People have the right to fight back. Getting paid for having his rights violated by his own government has nothing to do with the notion of not negotiating with hostage takers. Also, the precedent for paying out $10 million was set by Harper, so go bitch to him if it burns your ass so much.

Yes they are the same. In both instances the government violated the rights of a Canadian citizen. Doesn't matter what the reason is, rights exist for a reason, can't pick and choose when to follow the charter and constitution.

He's not a terrorist. Never was.
Make up your mind. Is he a Canadian or is he not? If he was defending his home, then he's really not because he was fighting in Afghanistan. He wasn't defending Canadian people or its interest. This asshat then sue the Canadian government for not bailing him out when he was captured as an illegal combatant under Geneva Convention. You can't have it both ways.

The fact of the matter is him and his entire family are a bunch of goat molesting jihadists that pledged allegiance to Osama Bin Laden and fought as members of Al-Qaeda. Their organization was responsible for the death of thousands on innocent civilians on September 11, 2001, including two dozen Canadians. He was personally responsible for killing a US special forces operator and permanently wounding another with a grenade, a fact that he never disputed. His defence was that he was under his family's influence and didn't know any better as a teenager. On top of that, he was found with a pistol in his hand when he was captured. He was an active combatant fighting for the most notorious Islamic terrorist group in the world.

.

Same points I made in post 859. His response?

The guy is a troll who refuses to acknowledge any points and instead levies false accusations and insults people. He's a can.
