Champs should not be calling out champs of lower weights

That's more acceptable, but still not right imo. They will still be bigger than mighty mouse even if they cut more water weight to make 125. How about just challenge yourself and don't cut weight and challenge the 145 pound champ instead?

If you can make the weight, you are that weight and are in the weight class...if start missing weight, then you can say "he's too big" he needs to move up...

The difference in the TJ call out is that wanted to fight on MM division and he still refused, I can understand forcing a champ to move up but this time it didn't happen

If TJ is serious about fighting MM, feel free to move down to 125 and win a fight. In the time since all that bullshit, DJ has had a fight booked twice, successfully won that fight, and TJ has been in hiding with no mention of 125 again. Chaos averted.

Forcing a champion into a fight because some random contender in another weight class called him out is utter nonsense. If that were the case, every top contender in the UFC would be calling out champions, and if the champions didn't accept these random callouts, "fans" would be accusing all current champions of "ducking. If a title fight is cancelled, moving the challenger down a weight division to fight that champion isn't the solution. It's just madness.

TJ is getting the fight he deserves. He rightfully deserves a title shot at 135. He earned it. It sucks we had to wait this long, but it's the fight that has to happen.

As a fan of both TJ and DJ, it wasn't just a risk for DJ, it was also a risk for TJ. If TJ lost to DJ, does he still keep his titleshot at 135? Of course not. And if he did lose that titleshot, that would be have been a real shame and we would have lost this amazing fight between TJ and DJ.

It would have made more sense for TJ to have an interim title fight at 135 against maybe Dom.

Waiting was the right thing to do.

Not is not specially when it's the best title fight he could have had as a champ, no of the other MM fights would have created more hype than a fight with a former champ like TJ.

He could have easily silent the critics saying his division is weak and could have solidify his position even further as #1 p4p. I'm not saying this fight was the best idea ever but MM would have gained a lot, way more prestigious and respect that beating 2-1 in his last 3 Rayborg, fought a legit 135 former champ in his division and defending his title in the process, if Aldo did it I see no reason for TJ to not see it.

From the fan perspective it would have sucked but TJ vs MM would have been as awesome as any other fight between 1215/135
