Combate Americas looks serious in becoming a top mma organization.

I’ve watched a couple of cards and I’m impressed. Can’t wait until December 7.

I went to their card two weekends ago and they were a solid organization. The 1 round thing was kinda dumb though if they arent fighting two times a night. That was to get in though.

I never hear anything about Combate. Nothing.

One night tournaments are my weaknesses though. I just might have to check this one out.

They are covered fairly regularly on most MMA media sites and especially lately since DAZN added their English language broadcasts to the service. Very fun promotion to watch with a lot of finishes.

their CEO is fuckin cool. he made me a fan

What I love about them is how they are willing to experiment with different formats. They stand out in a sea of "us too"/UFC-lite MMA promotions. Plus their owner (or CEO, whatever) is like how I would be if I owned an MMA promotion. You can tell he loves the fights and the stories behind the fighters

The first Combate Americas tournament was at BW in 2017 and it was won by an alternate

Interesting tournament. I'd like to see it if I order DAZN in December.

UFC - North America
One Championship - Asia
KSW - Europe
Combate Americas - South America

Is this happening in the US? Because I thought the commissions out here don't allow one night tournaments like these anymore... especially if you have to fight 3 times in one night.

Excited for it tho!

I watched Combat A for the first time last week and enjoyed it.

They held the first Copa Combate in Mexico with bantamweights and these were the rules they used below to keep the total fight time for any one fighter under 25 minutes so it would be acceptable for whatever athletic commission that regulated the event:
