Conor has a ton of punching power but only at range with his left overhand and cross.

No he doesn't, at least not in the boxing world. In boxing it wouldn't even be average for his weight.

As I said, it's not raw power that gets him results - he gets the job done in MMA from excellent timing, accuracy, and reach, combined with terrible defence and chins of MMA fighters.

There is no real snap, explosiveness, or torque to any of his shots. The Floyd fight combined with the testimonies of Van Heerden and Paulie is more than enough evidence he can't punch.

It goes to show how fucking deluded his fanbase really is, they still think he's this amazing puncher, but somehow his magic power just "doesn't work" in a boxing ring or "He's purposefully not throwing hard punches".

Just look at their last fight, that was a war and they landed flush on each other in almost every round, but due to their great defense and ability to roll with punches, they survived 24 rounds against each other.

If you wear him out for a round of two avoiding that left hand.... he losses lots of power and gets sloppy. Of course any half decent fighter has respectable power when they can set up their shots properly. Conor certainly can plant his feet, launch from his leg, torque his hip and land a hard power shot. But only when everything goes according to his plan. When it doesn't, he can't throw power shots against decent boxers and still hit them. Watch the fight again, by the 3rd round Conor almost gave up trying to throw proper punches anymore and just settled for points by patting Floyd's face with light arm punches.
