Conor has no real punching power

3 things.

1) I only read the first page of replies.

2) Conor clearly wasn't throwing power shots in the boxing match. He was trying a very dumb gameplan of arm punching softly to win points because of the terrible team he has behind him having zero boxing knowledge and the fear of gassing... If you knew anything at all about anything, you wouldn't use this as "evidence" that he has no power.

3) Who cares

He hurt Floyd. Make no mistake about it.
Most guys get hurt when they get punched in the balls to be fair. Really not something to hang your hat on.

Floyd ate that first round uppercut like nothing and it didn't even make him hesitate to move forward for a second. At that point Floyd knew he could do whatever the fuck he wanted in that fight and unlike any of his other fights in the last 10 years stood right in front of him and walked him down with zero concern for Conors power and was also clearly the harder hitter despite giving up 15 to 20 pounds, lol.

He has KO power at FW.
But so far offers nothing special in terms of punching for LW.so he has yet to prove otherwise.

There are plenty of mma fighters with legit power like chris leben and rampage jackson. Rampage and leben will hurt you with boxing gloves on, conor for some reason couldnt bus a grape with boxing gloves shows he is not a legit puncher

Conor has a lot of power in his left hand, denying that is just dumb

lol @ fix fight.
That your argument invalid right there.
But its a fact that Eddie has suspect chin . Gets rocked bad every fight.
The fixed fight thing is just my own justification for eddies atrocious performance

Can you generate power with a wild arm punch? Yes. An elite boxer generate the same power with a short left. That's technique. Secondly, that wild arm punch would set you up for a counter. You can get away with telegraphing you punches in the UFC.

As has been said here several times, you don't need to generate lots of power to take out a UFC bum. If you knock somebody cold with a jab, it's not the one throwing the jab that did the job. It was the bum who rushed into the fist face first that knocked himself out.

In the UFC, this "technique" may have ended up being a devastating KO, and everybody would be praising Conor for his technique and power. "World class boxer."

boxers dont have that much more power but they're able to landed more consistently... in conor's case he was scared to comit so he just threw arm punches

Yeah they do actually have a lot more power, Floyd fought at 149 lbs, Conor stepped in the cage at almost 170 lbs, who had more power?

Canelo and GGG are the similar size, don't you think they hit a lot harder?

canelo looked embarassing against floyd. literally worse than conor, so i wouldnt say canelo would bodybag him. ggg is a freak though

alas youre stupid for saying he has no punching power. he wins all his fights by knockout and hurt floyd to the body. and he is a goddamn lightweight.
Lmfao. Canelo would KO him stuff like a board

I wonder if these type threads will disappear if Conor was to come back with an impressive win streak.

Been saying it for years. His power is the most overrated thing ever. Mayweather didn't even seem phased lol..thank fk Conor wasn't dumb enough to fight a boxer in his prime..Canelo or GGG would bodybag him inside 1 round,

Won $550 off the Mayweather fight lol dumb fans pushing the betting lines.

There is a world of difference between 4 ounce gloves and 8-10 ounce gloves, which is what they use in boxing.

Additionally, Conor's boxing technique was (is) exceptionally poor. His style for years was suited for striking in Mixed Martial Arts, which is much different than the style needed to be successful in boxing.

Vice Versa, traditional boxing stances like Mayweather's shoulder roll, the Philly shell defense, and so on, would not work well in MMA.

Unfortunately, just because you are good at one combat sport does not mean your skills are transferable to another. Power transfers. Skills do not. Power without technique is useless.

Conor mastered the techniques necessary to produce legit one-punch KO's in MMA. He did not master the techniques needed to do so in boxing.

it actually shows how bad mma is
see rhounda too
they're hyped so much
when they face legit strikers they get embarrassed

Legit strikers in what sport? Striking in boxing and striking in MMA are very different. It's like comparing soccer to American football. Much of the skills you learn in one combat sport does not transfer over to the other.

There aren't many boxers that could go into MMA or Muay Thai or Kickboxing and beat a world champion straight off the bat. There will be a skill, technique, and experience gap that has to first be closed.

I don't like Conor, but saying MMA strikers suck because they can't beat a boxer in a boxing ring is like saying boxing sucks James Toney tapped out to Randy Couture.

conor is not the only mma fighter

bahahaha you fuckin casual

That's not what is argued. Nobody says Conor cannot KO somebody that runs into his fist face first, like Aldo did. That's just not a good measure of power.
