CONOR MCGREGOR RANKED #2 P4P LIST???!?

He is #1, by a long shot. Let us see Mighty Mouse go beat Cody, then we can talk.

Clearly number one, on this make believe rainbow and fairy list. P4P means if weight classes didnt exist who would be best. Given that conor has smashed two belt holders in different divisions means he literally is the definition of the leader of said imaginary list.

Not even close. The P4P best doesn't get strangled and then run to a crappy decision.

Wrong. The best P4P means that this fighter would beat any other fighter if weight wasn't a factor. So if that person were to be the same size and weight as any other fighter, he would beat them.

Cool - then lets see Mighty Mouse go fight Barao at 145......let's see MM go clown Cody at 135......or, let's see MM even fight TJ at 125. Context is everything here. Conor could have stayed at 45 and continue to smash and KO guys in minutes, but he instead looked to push himself and proved he is the only fighter capable of winning two simultaneous titles in the current MMA landscape. When DJ wins a second belt, then we can talk, but at current he just perpetually defends his title against "dennis siver" level fighters and fights in the most shallow division in MMA.

You clearly have no idea what P4P means. Sansnom just gave you the definition.

I do agree.

He put Aldo down in 10 f’n seconds. Aldo was widely considered P4P #1 for very many years, was an extremely dominant champ and unbeatable for about 10 years or so. Conor just completely embarrassed him and took that belt that nobody else could come close to doing besides Mendes in the rematch. Nobody could really even give Aldo a real fight throughout his 10 year unbeaten streak besides Mendes and Hominick, but Conor just flatlined him just like he said he would. He said the fight would be decided in the first exchange and it was. He trained to do that exact counter before the fight and did it immediately. He simply just knew exactly how to beat him.

Eddie is known for being very hittable and gets hurt at least once in basically every fight, but nobody fucked him up like Conor did. Eddie usually gets hurt but comes back and makes it extremely competitive, but not against Conor. Conor took two belts with unbelievable ease against the once arguable P4P #1 for years (Aldo) and a super tough, long time vet that beats most other top guys although it’s not easy for him, he (Eddie) is still a great fighter and legit top guy. People love to bring up the Nate fights as some way to act like Conor isn’t good, but these people are dumb and just don’t understand match ups stylistically speaking.

Same as the fools acting like Conor is no good because he got beat up by Floyd, one of the greatest boxers of all time in a different sport for fuck’s sake. Conor is an MMA fighter. Just because he has a background in boxing and fucks up everybody in MMA with his hands doesn’t mean that he’s suddenly a shit fighter because he lost to one of the GOAT pure boxers. The people that use this against him are f’n fools that don’t even know anything about fighting anyway and really are just bitter haters that can’t accept how good he is.

Conor is definitely top 5 P4P and for him to be officially ranked #2 is fine by me considering his accomplishments. Rankings don’t mean anything anyway and they change all the time very quickly. Conor could end up losing his next couple of fights in a row for all we know. That’s how fighting is. You can’t win them all. It’s a very difficult sport and no matter how good you are, you can lose to pretty much anybody. Other than that, it’s time for people (the sad, pathetic, idiotic haters) to give him the credit he deserves. He’s one of the best fighters in the world.

The hate he gets is just silly. Fight fans take shit way too seriously. You’re all going to miss when he’s gone so just enjoy the show. The guy puts on great fights every single time and that’s the most important things for us as fans. Just watch the fights and stop whining about him so much. All he does is sell the fights. I can understand some don’t like the way he does it but that’s just how MMA is. Talking shit really can make all the difference in the world when it comes to sales, he has that gift of making people interested in watching. That’s all it is. He’s selling the fights. He doesn’t have any ill will towards any of his opponents, it’s purely all professional. Just enjoy the show and stop crying about him every f’n chance you get, people. It’s not a big deal. Stop acting like what he does effects your life so much.. like that EL GOAT fuck head.

Don’t act like Conor is undersized at LW. MM would be undersized moving up. Conor does not defend and 99% of the guys he fights are smaller than he is. He will never be an all time great he does not do enough.

What does the P4P best do then? Take steroids? Fight TUF contestants and beat up on guys with 8 fights, in the shallowest division since Espsarza was champ at SW? 145,155 and 170 are the most stacked divisions, owing to the fact that is where normal sized mren fight with 10% body fat. Let us see Mighty Manlet go beat Cody and then we can talk - I will even give him the #1 spot if he grabs a' second title......however, until then, some of you guys simply do not understand the gravity of what Conor did and the implications that has to his P4P seating.

Conor has fought 75% of his fights @ 45 and is undefeated there. In the modern MMA landscape he is a large feather weight, an average sized lightweight and a grossly undersized welterweight. Dustin was the same size as him at FW, Max was taller, Jose and him were near identical except for the few inches reach Conor had. LW is where guys like Tony fight, who is 6 feet and holds a 76 inch reach fight, or guys like Khabib, who are so large for the division that they can not make weight.

You Conor haters are always grasping for straws, even trying to diminish his P4P greatness in MMA because he lost to Floyd Fucking Mayweather in a boxing match, whilst still winning half of the rounds on a plethora of scorecards. Imagine CroCop boxed10 rounds with Klitchsko and won half of them??? We would all be heralding him as the GOAT of combat (and rightfully so).

It is just time to put down the haterade and be objective: Conor is P4P #1 until Deleterious shows he is capable of winning two titles. If we do not have quantifiable ways to measure P4P aptitude, like multiple titles in different weightclasses, then what is the point of it??

<36><36>

maybe he could, cuz klitschko is a nice guy and would take it easy ... just like floyd. lets say im klitschko ... i would do this ---> let him win all the rounds = more drama and then knock crocops bain out. i doubt that the klitschko brothers would do this.

if klitschko tried to win these rounds vs crocop and crocop still managed to win more rounds, then he would be the GOAT of combat, but if klitschko let him win 11 rounds ... fuck no <45>

I actually think he's a clear cut #1.

And I am not a fan

What a load of horseshit. Look at MM compared to Cruz and Conor compared to Eddie.

McGregor is bigger than the champion that he went up in weight to beat.

The equivalent for MM to do what Conor did would be to win the men's Strawweight title (if the UFC had that division), then to move to Flyweight. Actually, that still wouldn't be the same because MM is small even compared to many of the other 125ers.

You don't get choked out and knocked out in your prime, have 0 defenses and end up in the p4p discussion. A top 10 p4p list doesn't even make fucking sense. There can only be a handful of Goats up for debate

We got Fedor who was unbeaten for a decade,
MM who just broke the record.
GSP, who has a ton of defenses..
Jones, who has never once lost..
Cormier, who beats everyone not named Jones..

We just saw Conor get embarrassed in boxing....How does this thread even exist, seriously? Cause sherdog puts up a shit ranking to please the influx of mcnugget noobs.
Let's see him defend something for a minimum of 4 times and then include him in the p4p discussion. What do all goats have? title defenses, cardio, and no clear game plan to beat them.
Conor has 0 defenses, shit cardio, and there's a clear game plan to beat him.

But Stipe weighs more than DJ. Wouldn't all his added pounds give him more pound for pounds?
