Conor seems rustled that he did not make Forbes #1

Floyd was a retired 40 year old 149lbs pillow fisted manlet...and came back to fight a 170+lbs so called KO machine in Conor.....Yes, not the best fight but he was retired.

Before the retirement...The only real "Duck" was Manny Pacquiao, other than that, he fought very good top contenders for his weight division.

He beat Pac.

He wanted to fight Pac in 2010 but Pac didnt want to get tested. Facts.

Conor will never surpass those soccer guys. Not that it matters, he is still very rich.
Also, making it to #1 requires him to surpass Mayweather, which is impossible. Floyd made like 5x more money than Conor did.

Conor should be thanking Floyd lmao. This will be the one and only year he'll crack top ten on this list.

It's bizarre just how much more accomplished the top three are in their sports compared to McGregor.

His self promotion and the UFC's marketing of him was amazing.

he wont make anywhere near that this year.... even if he fights. half that money came from mayweather fight.

Exactly. The top of the list contains athletes who are the most accomplished and revered in their respective sports. They are all legends who have impeccable resumes that countless others who have participated in their sports could only dream of having. And then there is Conor Mcgregor. While he does have a lot of great wins and has won some tough fights to get a few belts, he is a certified ducker. He has vehemently ducked wrestlers and has ran from ever defending a belt. It’s a disgrace that a man can get to that fiscal level without truly being one of the greats in his sports. Conor is not legendary. Frankly, his resume isn’t even better than Max Holloway’s. Again, I’m not trying to take away from what Conor has accomplished because he is a great fighter who has won a lot of tough fights. But the truth is the truth. He is not a legend. He is more the product of careful matchmaking and brilliant marketing.

The only reason he cracked the Top 50 was by being Mayweather’s sidekick and punching bag for a night, so getting back to Top 5 in a future year or ever having the chance to be #1 this year (and passing Mayweather) are both things that will never be.

It's a disgrace that grown men who play with balls earn more than a man who fights for a living.

If we want to play that game, it's a much bigger disgrace that many elite level fighters in combat sports don't get paid as well as peers who have inferior abilities just because they're not good at talking, don't have an interesting personality/gimmick, don't have an "exciting" style or don't have a built in ethnic/nationalistic fanbase.

At least players in the stick-and-ball sports typically get paid what they're worth based on ability.

All the other athletes make this money year in and year out.
Unless he gets another mayweather fight he would be lucky to touch 40 million this year given it’s June and he has no fight scheduled.....

Mc Gregor took time off. Guess he doesn't care anymore about anything.

Unless he gets another boxing superfight vs Mayweather, I don't see him reach these heights ever again. Doubt even if he fights 4 times a year in MMA that he can make that kind of money.
