Hes older, in worse shape, slower than ever and primed for a losing to guy in the HW. Beating DC today is no more than beating a 40 year old hunt or reem at HW.

His skills have evolved a lot since Strikeforce

But his physical prime was many years ago. I still think 2012 DC beats 2018 DC.

Sort of like Romero, who hit his physical prime he was competing full-time in wrestling, but is obviously a better martial artist right now than he's ever been.

And this is the issue with guys like Romero and DC (and even Brock, if we're honest). We're never going to see them at their true "prime" the way we get to see athletes in other sports at their prime because they only came to MMA as a secondary athletic career after peaking and then declining in their first athletic career.
