Crappy President Trump pretends to be "too busy" after outrage for blowing off veterans.

Pretty well agree. I was just giving an answer. Def think him admitting that is the right thing. Surprised he even did that. Though he did follow it up with an excuse so....Real remorse would be actually helping vets, better medical care etc.

Well he does do that.

In fact, he seems to care a lot about our Vets.

Unfortunately, he massively fucked up when he didn't go to Arlington (he did go last year).

All that does now is provide more fuel by his opponents that are looking to replace him in 2020.

Case in Point : The Batshit Insane TS with the Caffeine-overdosed OP.

A wall of text is a long piece of text that isn't broken up in paragraphs. This was neither long nor without paragraphs.

Well then Bravo to you for reading that whole thing.

All I got from it was "GRRRRRRRRRRR ARRRRGH!!! TRUMP...I HATE! " <codychoke>

I tend to think its more about pointing out illogical reactions to benign things. No one here REALLY cares that Trump or Obama missed some ceremony, lets be real. People who make threads like this are just sitting there looking for some outrage porn to make up for social media validation. "That divisive politician did that thing that time! Right, forum pals?"

When people pretend to care about veterans, they only focus on the political angle. A sign they are just using veterans as props for their larger argument. Another sign is emotional instability.

These two posts are ON-POINT.

And completely expose the OP's obvious bullshit.

There's no point in bringing Obama up with this one. Trump fucked up. He just had to show up. Not a big ask, and it doesn't really matter who did or didn't do it in the past.

See other right wing hacks ... You can be honest from time to time

Good job buddy good post

Trump just knew the amount of road closures, traffic and no place to park the motorcade would be a hassle. So he stayed home.

Imagine actually caring about veterans....seriously....nobody does unless it’s a family member.

President Obama is skipping the traditional Memorial Day visit to Arlington National Cemetery, a move that has dismayed some veterans -- and comes at a sensitive moment in the administration's relationship with the military.

At least he went to a military cemetery to pay his respects towards the men he's sending to die and get horribly injured.

I'm no party whore. If Democrats act like bitches I'm happy to let them know what I think too.

You sound like a concerned veteran.

Did you go visit either cemetery?

I've visited Arlington, but on Veterans Day and Memorial Day I always do something local because of transportation issues. If I could afford to, I'd love to. When I can afford the trip, I go to the different cemeteries where the men who died while on deployment with me are buried at.

Couldn't make a trip this year so instead, I paid my respects by working for a local veteran's help group that helps disabled veterans. This last Veterans day, I spend my time and the rest of the weekend building a ramp for a disabled OEF vet and his family.

Personally I put in a lot of time with helping veterans. It's something that really helps with my various issues and guilt. Not everyone needs to do what I do, but the Commander in Chief is called that he runs the military. The buck stops with him.
