Kung fu masters have weapon training. They know warfare. My point is back then people challenged you to death. Which means you couldn't bullshit your way out of a fight.

Iron Fist uses kung fu. He does OK. His girlfriend uses karate. She makes out alright too.

Iron Fist is gay af. Completely unlikeable. I'd never bother watching his trash show after that cameo he made in Luke Cage.

I grew up in the 80s in NYC. We loved Martial Arts and were Karate Kids. I took tons of different disciplines before settling on Tae Kwon Do as the best striking discipline. I knew even as a kid Kung Fu wasn’t practical. Then in High School I got into wrestling and realized that is the absolute best base for a fighting art when combined with striking and basic subs. If I could go back I would have trained Judo and wrestling and taken TKD for fun and to learn to strike.
