I just saw this and didn't find anything mentioned in the forums when I looked it up, so here it is.

The guy was pretty overmatched, but Diego was probably just looking for a bounce-back/get-some-confidence-again fight, which a lot of guys need sometimes, so it's alright in that scenario (and at least he did his job in the situation and finished it quickly.) And it's always a good idea to take a more-winnable fight in your divisional debut; a loss hurts your career no matter what, and there're too many variables with weight-management and optimal performance when changing divisions to make it safe to take a higher-level fight right away.
He's fighting a 7-3 fighter next. He's got 5 KO's, too, so he might be able to capitalize on Nunes' possible chinny-ness (since he's been KO'd in two of his last three losses.) Being on his first winning streak in 6 years would be good for Diego, too, and he could get a nice step-up and possibly contend for a regional title afterwards, which would really help out with a career resurgence for him.
