Do the taller fighters (6'6" and over) often have harder time finding sparring partners of equal or greater size? And does this lack of depth usually make taller fighters less skilled than their counterparts with more average height?
Deontay Wilder recent victory got me thinking about him. He apparently started when he was 20 years old. He probably reached his height of 6'7" or close by then. I pretty sure most of the guys he trained against were shorter than him. I wonder how he will do against a guy like Tyson Fury who is bigger.
I have heard this about basketball players too. The tallest players like the power forwards and centers usually thought of as clumsy, slow, and not smooth because they never had to be. They just use their height. So need to try new things.
By the way when is Tyson Fury coming back. HW Boxing needs a token white boy.
